Position Summary

Provide leadership and direction for all manufacturing and other related activities at the facility. Overall accountability for colleague safety, product quality, and the achievement of key performance objectives. Challenges and drives continuous improvement throughout all functions to ensure cost competitiveness and long-term vitality.

  • Leadership of daily plant execution and improvement in core competencies (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery)

  • Actively participate in the development and execution of plant strategies that are aligned with Operations initiatives

  • Sponsor, drive, lead and support key COGS savings initiatives, contributing to Energizers’ financial algorithm

  • Administer corporate and company procedures, policies, and benefit plans to maintain high level of colleague moral and negate need for union representation

  • Establish, communicate, and ensure facility meets and/or exceeds financial commitments

  • Communicate key business results and/or changes to colleagues via business meetings

  • Lead and/or support cross-functional teams to deliver strategic plans.

  • Participate on global teams, complex business projects and operation initiatives

  • Collaborate/network across other NA functions (i.e.: R&D, Finance. Procurement, SC, Commercial, and Legal)

  • Business leader for plant and can articulate connection with overall NA Operations

Specific Accountabilities

  • Facilitate strategic planning for facility and lead strategic objectives/projects

  • Create and articulate a vision with plant team; lead and motivate team to execute key strategies

  • Complete review, recommendation, and sharing of the annual hourly wage surveys

  • Summarize and share key plant results, forecasts, and strategies via monthly highlights and plant business mtgs

  • Connect with other business leaders in community

  • Leads teams of 4-15 salary and 50-150 hourly colleagues: 2-4 direct reports

  • Development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven leadership experience in a cross functional role

  • Bachelor’s degree: Preferred education in Engineering Business Management or other Technical Degree

  • Financial Acumen related to operation & capital projects

  • Achieving results through others

  • Change & Innovation demonstrated

  • Building Relationships amongst colleagues at all levels of the organization

  • Developing the organization to inspire and motivate towards success

  • Strategic Thinking to prepare plant and resources for the future

  • Success in developing individual contributors and future leaders in the business

  • Prior Operational Leadership experience

Working Relationships & Environment

Working Relationships

  • International manufacturing operations leaders

  • International Shared Services for Safety, Engineering and QAD support

  • Key relationships internally include Integrated Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, HR and Marketing

  • Global Supply Teams in HQ

  • Commercial Teams in Egypt and region of operations

  • Reports to Sr. Director International Manufacturing

  • External engagement includes third party suppliers/partners

Work Environment

  • Time spent between manufacturing and office environment.

  • Work hours to allow frequent interaction and ability to deliver business results to colleagues working all shifts

  • Available for teleconferences outside normal business hours

  • Travel requirements up to 10%, typically within North America
