Position Summary

The Accountant Analyst is responsible for assisting the Accounting Supervisor in performing general accounting duties related to month end close and Balance Sheet reconciliations. The position requires providing quality financial accounting services, adhering to generally accepted accounting principles and company policies as they impact both the management reporting and data that are used for legal, financial and statutory reporting

Responsibilities

Universal Accountabilities

• Ensure that all entries and reconciliations are kept in accordance with internal procedures

• Analysis of balance

• Background in taxes and fixed assets

• Process intercompany financial transactions

• Reconciliations

Specific Accountabilities

• Monthly accounting closure under USGAAP and IFRS.

• Fixed Assets records

• Conference of sales vs GL ledger

• Enter and post journals

• Maintain reversing journals

• Reconcile ledger to support (incl. bank)

• Reconcile indirect taxes

• Reconcile withholding taxes

• Integration of modules from Datasul and GFE to general ledger

• Confirmations and reconciliations of intercompany balances.

• Maintain tax provision accounts, provision process and reconciliation process

• Cut-off of sales

• E&O calculation provision

• Exchange variation

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• 3 years of experience in Accounting

• Expertise in MS Office, including advanced Excel and related financial systems (Datasul/GFE)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all level; both within and outside the organization

• Capable of analyzing issues and skill to solve problems efficiently

• Skillful in communicating, planning, organizing and prioritizing

• Capacity to interact easily with people, computer and business systems

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Ability to work well both as part of a team and independently

• Outstanding organizational and time management skills; the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Substantial understanding of international accounting principles (e.g., U.S GAAP, IFRS), local GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

• Transfer knowledge to coworkers
