Position Summary

Your primary responsibility will be working in a dynamic environment supporting plant operations on a daily basis with the goal being to drive improvements in process efficiency and the reduction of manufacturing costs. You will accomplish this by identifying & recommending potential process improvements, performing production line and position time studies and developing and updating work instructions as needed all while working closely with a Mentor Engineer.

Responsibilities

Operations support which includes the following and more:

  • Develop time studies of various production positions.

  • Update existing and develop new work instructions for machine operations.

  • Develop staffing improvement recommendations based on time studies.

  • Document time studies and present findings & improvement recommendations to plant leadership.

  • Provide future state staffing recommendations for key labor reduction projects.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint and MS Project.

  • Ability to use process modeling software such as Simul8.

We we are looking for

  • Senior or rising senior in an accredited 4yr Industrial Engineering program.

  • Prior Internship or Co-Op experience in manufacturing with demonstrated competence in developing work instructions and training documents, written and video based.

  • Prior experience performing production line and position time studies and analysis.
