Position Summary

The Plant Manager provides leadership and direction for all Packaging and other related activities at the facility in addition to overall accountability for colleague safety, product quality, and the achievement of key performance objectives. You will have strong customer focus to meet and exceed the needs of the customer and challenge and drive continuous improvement throughout all functions to ensure cost competitiveness and long term vitality.

Responsibilities

  • Leads 2-8 direct reports including teams of 4-23 salary and 50-120 hourly colleagues

  • Leadership of daily plant execution and improvement in core competencies (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery)

  • Business leader for plant

  • Work closely and actively engage with Supply Planning, Customer Service, & Packaging Technical Services to meet the customers' needs

  • Sponsor, drive, lead and support key COGS savings initiatives, contributing to Energizers’ financial algorithm

  • Administer corporate and company procedures, policies, and benefit plans to maintain high level of colleague moral and negate need for union representation

  • Establish, communicate, and ensure facility meets and/or exceeds financial commitments

  • Communicate key business results and/or changes to colleagues via business meetings

  • Lead and support cross-functional teams to deliver strategic plans

  • Participate on global teams, complex business projects and operation initiatives

  • Collaborate/network across functions (ie: Finance, Procurement, Package Tech Service, Commercial, Marketing, Human Resources & Legal)

  • Create and articulate a vision with plant team; lead and motivate team to execute key strategies

  • Complete review, recommendation, and sharing of the annual hourly wage surveys

  • Summarize and share key plant results, forecasts, and strategies via monthly highlights and plant business mtgs

  • Connect with other business leaders in community

  • Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

What we are looking for

  • 10+ years experience working in a Manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business Management, or other Technical Degree preferred)

  • Minimum 8 years proven leadership experience in a cross functional role

  • Prior operational leadership experience

  • Change & Innovation demonstrated

  • Building Relationships among colleagues at all levels of the organization

  • Developing the organization to inspire and motivate towards success

  • Strategic thinking to prepare plant and resources for the future

  • Success in developing individual contributors and future leaders in the business
