Position Summary

We are looking for an ambitious Business Account Executive to join our high-performing team in Auckland for an one year maternity cover.  This is a developmental role ideal for a candidate looking to build a career in Account Management within the FMCG Industry. The incumbent will play a key support role within the National Account Team to ensure our customer channel strategies are implemented with excellence. The role is a key link between the Support Office and Field Team that ensures executional excellence at store level.

 

Accountabilities

  • Managing internal trade spend processes and submittals with customers

  • Managing customer activations (such as off-location activities)

  • Product promotional forecasting and customer forecast collaboration

  • Manage promotional evaluation for nominated customers

  • Maintain customer range lists

  • Process customer requests for images / product samples

  • Relationship management with relevant retailer contacts in Tier 1 customers

  • Customer management with allocated Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers – support National Account Manager

  • Ensure account priorities are efficiently communicated to the field team

  • Assist with product range reviews and ad-hoc presentations

  • New product launch planning

  • Support new business development

  • Field team mail outs

     

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree qualifications preferred

  • 2-4 years of experience within the FMCG or Retail Industry (in roles such as a Territory Manager, Category Analyst or Brand Activation)

  • Numerically savvy / good commercial acumen

  • Team player

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks – administration support for a National Account Manager as well as customer facing duties managing a specific customer portfolio

  • Computer literate across Microsoft / Aztec / Nielsen

  • Exposure to an SAP environment

  • Eager to learn

     

Working Relationships & Environment

Reporting into the Sales Director, this role is aligned with a specified National Account Manager. You will be challenged but supported to succeed. Internally you will also work cross-departmentally with Trade Marketing, Field, Supply, Finance and Marketing.
