Position Summary

The Assistant Brand Activation Manager leads the development and execution of national promotional marketing tactics for the Auto Care business. In addition, this position supports the Americas Auto Care Category Leader in in-market execution of local annual marketing cycle plans with the overall aim of achieving Area business objectives.


  • Develops, executes and evaluates consumer promotions for Auto Care in North America

  • Supports the Americas Auto Care Category Leader in local execution of marketing plans

  • Has an understanding on key drivers for the business

Specific Accountabilities

  • Supports Americas Auto Care Category Leader in execution of annual marketing plan in accordance with Global marketing plan.

  • Supports the execution of local marketing tactics along the path to purchase, promotional packs, content marketing, point of purchase, etc. to help drive conversion

  • Leads development, execution and evaluation of US coupon and FSI strategy across all identified segments

  • Provides market intelligence to Americas and Global teams as input into strategy development

  • Provides competitive intelligence and market estimates to global teams

  • Supports budget management, reporting, PO creation and reconciliation

  • Works cross functionally with Trade Marketing, Marketing Operations, Shopper Marketing, and Category Management to ensure flawless and on time execution of marketing initiatives.

  • Maintains North America websites and updates for identified segments

  • Provides recommendations on local market pricing in accordance with global pricing guidelines and indexes.

  • May also perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree required with preference on Business, Marketing or Finance

  • Minimum 2-4 years relevant business experience

  • Must collaborate well and work well cross functionally

  • English speaking proficiency

  • Very strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Detail oriented with highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Results-orientated and self-starter with a can-do attitude

  • Strong analytical skills for data-based strategies and post-mortem analysis

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint preferred

  • Highly motivated and able to work independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Works well in a team environment

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • MBA

  • CPG background preferred

  • Auto care experience a plus

Reports to Category Leader, Americas Auto Care

Key relationships internally will include Americas Marketing Operations, Trade Marketing & Shopper Marketing Teams.

Work Environment

Position based in office with limited travel
