Position Summary

As a Finance & Operations Analyst, you will partner with business leaders of several cost centers in our Global Autocare Division.   In this role, you'll work closely with the procurement team analyzing purchase price variance (PPV) and take an active role in providing consultative advice and oversight of PPVs.  You will also monitor and provide advice on spend related to these cost centers, tracking progress of productivity projects from the materials standpoint, and assist with sourcing decisions.

Accountabilities

  • Partner with Research and Development and Procurement team in Dayton to provide pertinent data to establish Operational and Financial goal alignment and drive toward results

  • Work with Research and Development and Procurement Leaders of each area within site to create Annual Operational Budget and maintain monthly forecast and report analysis of monthly variances

  • Perform financial closing process for Research and Development and Procurement to ensure accurate reporting, accruals, Month to Month Walk from AOP and Forecast to actual

  • Create, maintain and track cost vs buy analysis for outsourcing recommendations

  • Manage and assist with capital budgets, along with Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) creation and tracking of cost, benefits and approvals

  • Assures company compliance with internal and external financial policies

Specific Accountabilities

  • Assist and Guide in financial statements for New Product Development projects

  • Maintain, forecast and report Purchase Price Variance (PPV) results

  • Work with Procurement on understanding and explaining variances

  • Maintain, forecast and report Material Productivity Projects results

  • Assist on sales presentations dependent on your analysis, at time speaking in front of an audience

  • Other responsibilities and analytics as required

Required Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • We recommend at least 2-4 years relevant accounting experience

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with prior experience working effectively in a demanding, fast changing environment required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to partner across organization in a collaborative and positive manner

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel including the ability to use Pivot Tables, Vlookups, and general manipulation of data

  • Proficiency with ERP accounting systems

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Prior manufacturing/industrial industry experience/exposure preferred

  • Prior SAP accounting experience/exposure preferred

  • Career-motivated, dedicated, committed employee and business partner with the Manufacturing Operations team

  • A hands-on, take-charge financial professional with strong financial, analytical and detail-oriented skills
