Position Summary

Maintenance personnel are primarily responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving the processes related to the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Along with preventive and predictive equipment maintenance they will have solid understanding of plant equipment repair and operations. They must have ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, with the flexibility and willingness to work various shifts as and when needed. Initiate, support and improve all aspects of Key Metrics: Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, & Continuous improvement.

 

 

 

 

Accountabilities

Electrician

Develop, assemble and install machine and building improvements, particularly those requiring electrical specialization.

Work from prescribed verbal and written schedules, technical specifications, technical drawings, operating procedures and instructions.

Improve processes by driving failures to root cause, implementing solutions which prevent future recurring failures.

DC equipment controls, PLC skills, & minor program changes.

Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches; and set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools

Carry out diagnosis and correct or replace malfunctioning electronic units like the printed circuit boards

Carry out diagnosis and ensure replacement of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic components of equipment and machines which are fault.

Toolmaker

Develop, assemble and install machine and building improvements, particularly those requiring mechanical machining and bench work specializations.

Work from prescribed verbal and written schedules, technical specifications, technical drawings, operating procedures and instructions.

Respond to dispatch calls quickly and efficiently to reduce downtime, reporting root cause and corrective action to dispatch immediately upon completion of task.

Machine components utilizing a variety of multi-axis CNC based and manual machine tools.

Perform exacting machine operations requiring a wide variety of set ups and methods to maintain close tolerances.

Development, installation and repair of tooling, jigs, fixtures, gages, machine structure, guarding, indexers, power transmission systems, cam systems, conveyor components, couplings, shafts & bearings, installation and repair of mechanical automation components of all types.

Welder and Millwright

Planning, Layout, Set-Up of MIG, TIG, Soldering, Carbon Arc, Metal Arc, Gas Shielded Arc, Plasma and Oxyacetylene Welding and Cutting Operations Related to Construction, Alternation, Modification, Maintenance and Installation of Plant Facilities, New and Existing Equipment.

Fabricate Assemblies Utilizing a Variety of Machine Tools, Including: Welders, Saws, Plasma Cutters, Press Brakes, Soldering Equipment, Cutting Torches and a Variety of Hand and Power Tools.

Welding in all positions for structural, mechanical and pressure containment requirements.

Perform work of acceptable quality that includes certification to ASME/AWS code requirements.

Select welding wire and tips appropriate to work requirement, and set current, amperage, gas pressures and related controls.

Development, installation and repair of tooling, jigs, fixtures, machine structure, guarding, indexers, power transmission systems, cam systems, conveyor components, couplings, shafts & bearings, installation and repair of mechanical automation components of all types.

Work from prescribed verbal and written schedules, technical specifications, technical drawings, operating procedures and instructions.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Associate's degree, Technical trade School certification or equivalent experience.

  • High technical and mechanical aptitude

  • Must have specialization in Electrician trade along with one of the trade category's listed; Toolmaker, Welder & Millwright (Will need 5-6 Years' Experience)

  • Generate and implement work orders and (CI) continuous improvement ideas to maximize impact on the key metrics

  • Improve processes by driving failures to root cause, implementing solutions which prevent future recurring failures. 

  • Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition. 

  • Maintain necessary records as instructed. 

  • Communicate effectively to assure process owners are informed of machine issues and status.

  • Champion the improvement of processes through the (CI) continuous improvement process to improve process capability, preventative maintenance and maintenance processes.

  • Refer all questionable conditions to Maintenance Group Leader or Maintenance Manager.

  • Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations. 

  • Recognize and avoid errors which would prevent economical production of components.

Work Environment:

  • Weight: Lift material up to 60#, with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
