Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Spare Parts Coordinator supports Maintenance spare parts for the facility. This will include all spare parts both within SDI (contracted parts house located within the facility) and kept within the Maintenance organization. Will also include any material orders as needed to support Maintenance and the organization. This individual will be responsible for managing documentation relating to all aspects of spare parts and materials.
Responsible for all Spare parts and materials needs for the organization.
Interface with SDI on all coded parts ensuring correct Min/Max on all items
As required add and code all new parts
Identify alternate sources for spare parts when OEM is not available
Develop visual aids as related to spare parts for the Maintenance team
Develop & maintain SOP for Maintenance team as related to spare parts and installation
Interface with vendors on part details, timing
Interface with SDI on parts orders, follow through on critical items as needed
Create & update drawings for spare parts
Develop network of key suppliers and fabrication/repair shops
Assist with standardized work implementation as related to spare parts
Create & maintain equipment spare parts lists
Assist engineers on new machine spare parts lists and coding of such.
Provide administrative/technical support
Maintain records within the department
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Familiarity and ability to work within CMM systems
Familiarity and ability to work with Microsoft Exel
Good organizational skills
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to present data in various settings.
Ability to contact external suppliers and vendors.
Technical aptitude, both mechanical and electrical
Ability to read and understand prints
