Position Summary

As a Regulatory Affairs Manager for the Global Auto Care division you will be an integral member of a team, responsible for building and maintaining a robust global compliance program for our automotive aftermarket products.  This role will manage the strategic regulatory vision to help develop products that will delight consumers and deliver topline growth and bottom-line savings.

Accountabilities

  • Represent regulatory on cross functional product development and commercialization teams, providing expert guidance on global regulatory requirements, risk assessments and strategies

  • Provide Regulatory technical leadership for product development efforts to ensure global compliance of products

  • Manage and own all regulatory and compliance activities

  • Conduct raw material, formula reviews of chemical products and ensure compliance in all countries where the products are to be sold

  • Review the materials and chemistry of non-chemical parts and accessories to ensure global compliance to various regulations including but not limited to RoHS, REACH (SVHC), and conflict minerals

  • Review and approve all claims, packaging/labeling and marketing communication materials

  • Remain current with emerging/changing regulations in the U.S. and abroad, interpret complex information and summarize impact for other functions/leadership teams, in a clear, concise and focused manner

  • Manage the risk management process

  • Work collaboratively with RD&E team to develop and implement robust regulatory strategies

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Specific Accountabilities

  • Leads the development and continuous improvement of regulatory team processes to drive efficiency and enable product development timelines

  • Represent Energizer Global Auto Care as a subject matter expert in trade association committees and industry task forces/working groups

  • Potentially represent Global Auto Care on Energizer Brands Regulatory Advisory Council

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology or a related life or physical science discipline

  • We recommend at least 5 years of experience in the personal care / consumer goods industry

  • Good Interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Detail oriented to produce accurate and timely results

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently

  • Collaborative, team player

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are fundamental

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years supervisory/management experience in industry desired

  • Significant knowledge of global regulations (US, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America) pertaining to product ingredients, packaging, labeling and claims

  • Excellent problem solving skills, including previous experience leading problem solving groups as well as quality improvement techniques

  • Experience working efficiently with large datasets in Microsoft Excel and/or Access

Working Relationships & Environment

Work Environment:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office/RD&E environment

  • Interact mainly with Commercialization and Product Development group

  • Some Travel Required
