Position Summary
The Manager, Supply Planning is responsible for leading and optimizing the overall supply and inventory plans for both mid-term and strategic planning horizons for their region. The objective is to meet the consensus demand plan in addition to capacity, working capital and service goals/objectives.
Accountabilities
Build dynamic capacity and supply planning scenario models and strategies (18-24 month) to support demand scenarios, product-specific requirements and manufacturing capabilities
Lead the supply consensus meeting in the monthly S&OP cycle
Create integrated, aligned, stable, and agile supply and inventory plans to efficiently meet the fill rates, productivity and service level targets
Collaborate with Procurement, Demand and Inventory to develop/adjust inputs for production planning and material management flow
Work closely with internal and co-manufacturing production plants to develop executable supply plans and risk mitigation strategies
Oversee the supply-side of new product launches with NPI/Product Management, Sales, Sourcing and Operations
Aid in building short and long-term manufacturing strategies with analysis and proposals to increase labor, Capex, decrease COGS and other variables that affect output and cost
Be a key partner to continuously improve the end-to-end S&OP planning process
Perform ad hoc analysis and presentations as needed for the senior leadership team
Independently lead projects and initiatives focused on improving productivity and simplifying processes throughout the planning organization
Create automated reports to drive business decisions and call-to-action triggers to highlight performance and risk
Support the product life cycle transition process (phase-in & out) as the business model adjusts to meet customer requirements
Work closely with key cross-functional groups to effectively communicate risks/opportunities (Customer Service, Commercial Sales, Operations, Distribution, etc.)
Specific Accountabilities
Will manage a team of planners to support North American Auto Care supply
Achieve performance metrics and prioritize and escalate planning challenges, creating countermeasures to achieve KPI targets, conducting root cause analysis as needed to identify systemic issues
Leads the alignment of the supply plan to Operations and the S&OP Process
Effectively escalates information about shortages or excesses of inventory levels with recommendations and options to advise the commercial team, customer service and leadership
Influence senior leaders from across Energizer
Collaboratively build out and lead aspects of improving planning systems
Manage designated team including the hiring of new talent, conducting performance reviews/conversations, creating development and succession plans, and providing regular feedback
Ensures team members are trained and proficient in the use of corporate and department tools and technology
Redesigns the department to better meet long-term objectives
Drive plans to achieve department annual goals and KPIs
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Engineering. MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering or equivalent preferred
Minimum of seven years of experience with four years in production and capacity planning/materials replenishment/demand planning
Knowledge and experience in SAP, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) highly sought and/or MRP and ERP systems inventory control, materials required planning, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning and analytics
Deep knowledge in planning processes: demand planning, supply planning, new products introduction, material planning and S&OP process
Strong skills as a meeting facilitator with the ability to keep a meeting on track while engaging all stakeholders and driving to a set of decisions that can be executed in the business
Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders across the organization, including listening to understand multiple viewpoints and their relevance to the success of S&OP outcomes
Skilled at working with teams of people with disparate opinions and agendas to develop common outcomes, strategies and plans. Builds sense of team goals, focusing team toward those ends while balancing trade-offs in each stakeholder community
Is a change agent and not satisfied with the status quo and works proactively to continually improve it
Focused on ensuring that all data and activities are managed at an appropriate level of detail to ensure an accurate demand and supply plan
Focuses on most important and relevant topics through identification of impact on business results
Superb analytical, modeling and reporting skills - experience building out dynamic models, creating reports

Exposure and understanding of global supply chain dynamics and considerations

Working Relationships & Environment
Reports directly to Sr. Manager, Demand Planning Supply Chain
Will closely partner with Sales, Customer Supply Chain, Internal/External Suppliers, Operations, Procurement and Finance
Work Environment
- Willing to travel domestically & Internationally – up to 25% in total
