Position Summary

Assist, support, and improve all aspects of the Key Metrics; Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, by driving a Lean Culture through continuous improvement.

Specific Accountabilities

Perform highly repetitive and prescribed duties involving the assembly of component parts in the manufacturing line.

Duties include, but are not limited to, manual assembly operations such as inserting, folding, racking, placing and other similar simple operations.

Detect and segregate defective material.

Move materials as necessary.

Maintain work areas and tools in a neat and orderly condition.

Maintain all required records.

Work from established procedures including Safety, Quality, Standard Work and verbal instructions.

Assist in the continuous improvement culture and seek opportunities to eliminate waste by participating in RPS (Rapid Problem Solving), and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) events.

Identify and report the need for Standard Work Changes.

Adapt to Standard Work variances.

Follow all prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.

Refer all questionable conditions to the Team Leader.

Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Maintain visual board per the standard work instructions

Escalate all issues affecting the key metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Required Skills and Experience

Education and Experience Profile

High School Diploma/GED or prior work experience

Weight: Lifting up to 40#, with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.

Job requires: decision making, problem solving and communication.

Physical capabilities: Stretching, finger dexterity, lifting, climbing, twisting, turning, standing, pulling, pushing, reaching and bending.
