Under the general supervision of the Electrical Engineer, the Electronics Technician installs, maintains, and tests electrical systems and components on packaging machines and ensures systems and components meet established specifications.
Provide continuous Electronic support to production of all packaging equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve electronics down to the component level to determine cause and remedy of any malfunctions.
Tests production equipment to ensure proper operation per established criteria.
Performs required repairs to return machine to operational state.
Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems to determine root cause of issue and recommend a corrective action.
Sets up and test machines to meet specified requirements.
Recognizes failures and set up problems, isolates problems, and takes appropriate action to resolve those problems.
Inspects all work before passing on to operations.
Keeps supervisor appraised of all unresolved and or potential problems that would negatively affect production schedules.
Completes appropriate production reports.
May work with inside and outside resources to procure materials & mechanisms, & refine systems.
May participate in cross-functional meetings and interface effectively with other functional areas.
Education and Experience Profile
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
2 + years Electronics experience in a production manufacturing environment.
An Associate's Degree from a two year college or technical school is desired.
Must have PLC experience.
Required Skills and Experience
A creative, motivated, self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to lead significant portions of projects, with limited supervision.
Must possess good problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
Use professional, clear oral and written communication skills to update management, peers and team members of work progress and findings.
Ability to perform well in a high intensity team environment.
A hands-on candidate having experience developing complete manufacturing systems, packaging experience is highly desirable

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing / warehouse environment.
