Position Summary

Responsible for decision and controllership support to the Country Managers and Commercial teams for Middle East & Africa countries in planning and implementing commercial strategies and initiatives, marketing / trade investment, and performance management in order to achieve annual and long-range business objectives. It establishes and leads implementation of relevant best practices, tools, systems in planning, performance tracking, investment evaluation, and in the on-going LEAN/CIP efforts.


  • Provide Strategic planning/Budgeting/Forecasting to support short- and long-term planning and budget process through developing and interpreting financial and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness.

  • Ensure financial information and IT systems are configured to support commercial needs and provide financial leadership on LEAN/CIP initiatives

  • Lead development and ensure consistent execution of Promotional Evaluation Process, ensure Promotions are in line with Promotional Guidelines and provide insights from post-promotional analysis to the Commercial team. Review and participate in negotiation of trading terms and conducts trade spending review meetings with Sales Team members

  • Provide financial leadership to division Planning process including Strategic Planning, Annual Budget Planning, and forecasts

  • Responsible for quality, accuracy, and timely submission of monthly forecasts and deep dives with an independent assessment of risks and opportunities. Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Overhead & General Ledger and timely reporting of financial results. Reporting – internal & external. Overhead control. Treasury matters. Insurance. Tax matters. Internal and External Auditors. Corporate Governance Compliance. Responsible for reporting and managing the Net Working Capital.

  • Support the business in the development and analysis of information regarding specific initiatives and projects. This also includes assessing investment risks, opportunities, strategies and commercial viability, new products, marketing campaigns, and all promotional activities, deliver timely and accurate analysis on selling prices, channels performance, and product mix. Develop VAR analysis and comments on key performance drivers and financial analysis tools to support sales strategies and decisions.

  • Lead the financial reporting, planning, analysis efforts that support country commercial initiatives to include.

  • Monthly forecast and deep dives submission into Hyperion

  • FMR reporting and feedback to region management via monthly calls.

  • Market P&L’ s for all Divisions/class of trade A&P spending reports

  • Weekly sales flash reporting

  • BIAP accuracy and reconciliation to Iscala

  • Monthly financial presentation and relevant company performance review meetings

  • Deflator, A&P accrual accuracy and promotions evaluations activities

  • Oversee the preparation, analysis, audit closing entries, currencies rates, and revenue calculations for month end closing. Ensure timely overall close process, compliance with company policies, procedures and practices or contract requirements.

  • Direct daily activities of assigned staff to ensure efficiencies in compliance with organization standards, government contractual and legal requirements, represent and interface for accounting operations involving governmental tax and organizational audits and develop efficient standardized strategies and plans for accounting and finance tasks.

  • Train and evaluate F&C team to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Address performance issues and make recommendations for personnel actions and support building a motivated team.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with CPA / ACA/ CMA certification

  • 5 years’ or more in a managerial finance function from an MNC/FMCG or corporate environment

  • Critical thinking

  • Collaboration and team leadership

  • Customer focussed and result oriented

  • SAP, Hyperion, Iscala skills and knowledge is desirable
