Position Summary

Responsible for taking a leadership role in efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of high-speed manufacturing equipment.  Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.  Plan and execute preventive maintenance, research and design tooling improvements and execute capital projects.

Accountabilities

Leadership role in providing engineering solutions to high-speed manufacturing equipment issues. Lead efforts for capital improvement projects to improve equipment and processes. Provide support to engineering staff, maintenance mechanics and production operations.

 

Specific Accountabilities

Evaluate and execute preventive maintenance schedules.

Lead development, design and installation of equipment.

Design parts and systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment such as instruments, controls, robotics, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic or heat transfer systems.

Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect plant operations.

Required Skills and Experience

BS in a Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering or technical discipline.

7 to 10 years' experience as a manufacturing engineer.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Ability to systematically troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Demonstrated project management capability.

Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and the tools associated with failure detection.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Working Relationships & Environment

Working Relationships

Plant staff, engineering staff, production supervisors, maintenance mechanics, production operators.

Suppliers and company technical support staff.

Work Environment

Office and factory setting.
