Position Summary
Join the Energizer Team who has been making batteries in Fennimore for over 50 years!
The primary function of this position is to safely operate various battery manufacturing equipment within established productivity and quality standards. General duties include monitor equipment to maintain high quality, standard run rates and low scrap. Performing general duties that are job specific to each area. Performing specified cleaning requirements, quality control checks and completing required electronic and paper documentation processes.
Responsibilities
• Follow all safety standards at all times • Operate battery manufacturing equipment efficiently to meet productivity expectations • Perform quality checks and record data as required • Be a self-starter - demonstrate initiative to identify and apply solutions to remove roadblocks • Demonstrate ownership and willingness to continuously improve self and area of accountability • Make equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standard • Maintain equipment cleanliness and good housekeeping of work areas • Recognize continuous improvement opportunities that will enhance safety, quality, organization, and productivity • Other duties as assigned
We we are looking for
• At least 2 years of production/manufacturing operations experience • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job including but not limited to lifting, walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders • Self-motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment with limited supervision • Must be available to work 12 hour day and/or night shifts • Must have good verbal and written communication skills • Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills and abilities • Must be motivated to strive for continuous improvement Education Requirements: • High School degree and/or equivalent and previous manufacturing experience preferred. • Possess mechanical aptitude for fast paced environment. • Works in a team-oriented environment reporting to shift supervisor. • Noise level and working conditions are similar to those for a light industrial manufacturing/warehouse facility. • Work activities take place within a temperature and humidity-controlled environment. • Be a role model to encourage good attendance and good work habits. • Be a part of (CI) continuous improvement ideas to maximize impact on the key metrics • Communicate effectively to assure process owners are informed of machine issues and status. • All applicants must complete basic background check and pre-employment drug screen (post offer).
