Provide leadership and direction for all manufacturing within the Value Stream. Accountability for colleague safety, product quality, and the achievement of key performance objectives within the Value Stream; and those reporting to the VSM.
The leadership of daily Value Stream execution and improvement in core competencies (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery)
Participates in the development of VS specific financial commitments
Provides clear goals for direct reports and provides regular feedback and coaching
Develops others within the VS to enable them for future roles within the business
Leads cross-functional teams
Thorough understanding of VS specific product costs including DL, VE, Period, and Major Maintenance
Assists with the development of annual budgets
Summarizes and shares key VS results with plant management on a monthly basis
Collaborates with other VS Managers towards meeting plant-specific objectives
Leads key teams of 5-8 salary and 3-10 hourly colleagues; 2-10 direct reports
Required Skills and Experience
Production or Maintenance Supervision experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field
Financial Acumen related to product costs
Demonstrated passion for customer focus
Builds Relationships amongst colleagues at all levels of the organization
Success developing individual contributors and future leaders in the business

Preferred Skills and Experience
Familiar with safety and quality processes and systems
Exposure to maintenance systems and processes
Familiar with HR processes and systems
Understanding of engineering projects and processes
Thorough cost & systems (SAP) understanding
Adaptable to working within a union environment (facilitative skills)
Mechanical aptitude - equipment and systems
Working Relationships & Environment
NA manufacturing VS managers
NA safety managers and shared services
Key relationships internally include External Suppliers, Integrated Supply Chain, Accounting / Finance, and HR
Travel requirements up to 10%, within North America
Time spent between office and manufacturing environment
Work hours to allow frequent interaction and ability to deliver business results to colleagues working all shifts
