Accountabilities

The Operations Supervisor will perform the following duties and functions:

  • Supervises a production unit or department and provides direction in the achievement of established goals.

  • Maintains working knowledge of schedules, costs, quality, safety, material utilization, and efficiency.

  • Develops and coordinates production/maintenance schedules and manpower planning.

  • Analyze costs, material utilization and inventory levels to resolve variances.

  • Develops necessary controls to monitor these areas.

  • Optimizes flexibility of human resources, processes, and equipment.

  • Directs day-to-day support services including maintenance to ensure continuous and effective production operations.

  • Directs day-to-day support services including maintenance to ensure continuous and effective production operations.

  • Understands and directs safety and housekeeping and environmental initiatives within assigned areas.

  • Develops, administers and/or presents associate training.

  • Provides direct leadership to ensure conformity with Energizer policies and work rules.

  • Understands and champions team initiatives.

  • Promotes understands and directs Lean Manufacturing efforts.

  • Demonstrates a pro-active and creative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Leads and/or facilitates improvement efforts/special projects related to Lean Production, Quality, Safety, etc.

  • Promotes high-level performance of hourly associates including performance appraisals.

Main Night 9pm to 7am Mon - Thur

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-year college degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering or other appropriate fields or equivalent supervisory work experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • The candidate must be willing to perform occasional travel.

  • The candidate must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office software

  • Good technical understanding or mechanical skills

  • Experience and knowledge or use of Lean principles or techniques

  • Ability and willingness to work all three shifts when needed
