Position Summary

Always thinking shopper first, your goal is to improve category turnover for the mutual benefit of both Energizer Holdings and our key retail partners.

You’ll excel in this goal through influencing both internal and external stakeholders, providing actional insights that result in improved distribution, placement, pricing, and promotional efficiencies.


  • Monitor Category, Market and Competitor key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Own both regular and ad-hoc reporting for the UK, Nordic, and South African markets

  • Distil complex information into insight, resulting in clear action for stakeholders

  • Understand the dynamics of macro-economic trends, and any implications these may have on the retail industry and the categories we operate in

  • Assist Category Development manager with assortment analysis and recommendations for range reviews, utilising principled Category Development processes e.g., range tail

  • Develop understanding of category dynamics in the wider organization

  • Work cross functionally with other key internal functions such as Sales, Marketing, and the International Trade Development (ITD) teams

  • Create and present compelling trade content that walks the audience through the opportunity, solution, and impact

  • Promote a culture of excellence through continuous improvement in all aspects of the job and all functions thus exceeding expectations of external and internal customers

What we are looking for

  • Excellent numerate skills – can handle and manipulate complex data sets

  • Advanced analytical ability – able to translate data into insight and action

  • Strong Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills are a must

  • English and Mathematics GCSE Grade C equivalent or above.

  • Clear communicator

  • Preferably, experience with typical FMCG data platforms such as Nielsen Answers, Nielsen Connect Express and IRI Temple

  • Competencies: Evaluating & Implementing Ideas, Making Fact-Based Judgments & Decisions, collaborating with co-workers, Influencing for Results
