The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for the total International Modern Market forecast (standard and promotional forecast) jointly with Market Demand Planners. She/he is accountable and responsible to develop and maintain statistical forecasts in SAP-IBP for the different Markets. The Demand Planning Analyst collaborates with Market Demand Planners or directly with Sales Team in order to understand and challenge the local market intelligence, gather any MI impacts on the statistical forecast, ensuring the right level of information and communication within cross functional Team to get the best possible total market forecast.
The Demand Planning Analyst must assist the preparation of the Area Demand Reviews (monthly S&OP process) and could also participate to local Market Demand Review . For that she/he needs to ensure the best possible total volume forecast to support the Senior DP Manager in gaining validation and sign off from the International VP. She/he helps the Senior DP Manager to ensure that the market processes and meetings remain aligned with the Area process and connected to the Area meetings to share information and gain feedback.
The Demand Planning Analyst will remain focused on improving forecast accuracy for the rolling 24 months with the aim to maximize sales (minimize service issues) while balancing this with working capital targets. The Demand Planning Analyst and Market Demand Planners will heavily and jointly focus on Long Term Planning at an area level with commercial and marketing teams to develop the best possible approach to planning and business delivery.
Manage product switches from a statistical forecast perspective & co-ordinate with market Demand Planners for Market intelligence forecast update.
Own the maintenance and checking of links to external data sources in order to start the generation of a statistical forecast for appropriate categories / markets within Int. Modern Market.
Own the process to apply manual adjustments for OOS & consequent lost sales in line with best practice.
Establish the critical items monthly to initiate collaborative review with Market Demand Planners to find the corrective actions to improve the forecast.
Apply manual adjustments to history for promos / pipe fill / exceptional events when needed to ensure the cleanest historical data.
Perform forecast modelling and adjust forecasting parameters to ensure the best possible accuracy and forecast horizon.
Maintain the process of disaggregation to ensure the best possible statistical result between the different item codes
Participate to the implementation of the int Modern Market Roadmap for forecast improvement aligned to the priorities of your manager (Senior DP Manager, Int. Modern Market).
Build the pack for the Area Demand Review for int. M M (S&OP meeting) in collaboration with your manager and understand impact of supply constraints from the AS&OP.
Chase the identification and investigation of root cause of forecast errors.
Ensure the S&OP process from market to Area is fully connected and communication flows up and down the pyramid.
Support the int MM Senior Demand Planning Manager in their Projects to help deliver the required strategic priorities.
Technically support Market Demand Planners for Market intelligence entry into SAP-IBP
Make the maintenance and set up of IBP related to statistical forecast
Support area supply planning by providing demand information pro-actively to support delivery to customers.
Own the training for new DP joiners
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in a supply chain (specific DP background essential if possible) or highly numerical role.
Education requirements (degree level educated)
Number orientated analyst with strong mathematical skills
Ability to manage relationships transversally across at the Demand Planning team
Able to work in a remote Team
Collaborative minded and good communication skills
Flexible, allow to change of scope rapidly
Self-starter & initiative taker
