Energizer HR Manager, UK/Nordics/South Africa (6mon contractor) in High Wycombe, United Kingdom

It's an exciting time to join Energizer Holdings.

This is a 6month fixed term contract position to backfill an internal colleague who has been seconded to lead integration of our HR processes following two major acquisitions that we have closed earlier this year.

Position Summary

Reporting to the HR Director Modern Markets, in this role, you'll act as an HR Business Partner to Managers and Colleagues covering the UK, Nordics & South Africa.

Responsibilities would include the full range of generalist support and activities including, but not limited to, HR Admin support, recruitment and selection, performance management, training and development, rewards and recognition employee relations, change management, communications and policies, contribution to international projects.

Our Modern markets business extends from the UK across Europe, to South Africa, South Korea and Australia and New Zealand so you'll be in the middle of an extremely diverse international HR team.


-Ensure completion of all HR Admin activities through managing third-party payroll providers.

-Own and lead Employee Relations, including employees' grievances

-Lead Talent development locally through succession planning, training needs evaluation, support to training delivery (internal and/or external). For the UK, this includes support to International or Global groups on site, e.g. International Finance, EMEA Controllership.

-Facilitate performance management

-Work alongside our RPO provider to manage the end-to-end recruitment process

-Support internal experts in Compensation & Benefits to deliver fit for purpose solutions

-Champion Change Management & Employee Engagement in geographical scope

-Develop HR policies based on markets' regulation / legislation

-Consult on elements of HR strategy and planning

-Contribute to projects in UK/Nordics/SA, Modern Markets and/or International related to HR Transformation and projects

Specific Accountabilities

-Stand-alone role supporting smooth HR operations in UK/Nordics/SA

-A member of the UK/Nordics/SA Leadership team

Required Skills and Experience

-Bachelor's degree with majors in Management, Human Resources, IR or similar

-HR Business Partnership experience:

o6 – 8 years of total HR experience

oMinimum 4 years of HR Business Partnering experience.

Your current HRBP experience may be under the leadership of a senior HRBP and you now feel ready to step into a role where you are directly accountable for the delivery of HR within the UK/Nordics/SA cluster.

-Sound working knowledge of labor laws & Industrial Relations frameworks in the UK

-Working comfortably across all levels and functions of an organization, including a matrix / functionally designed organization

Preferred Skills and Experience

-Commercially savvy with sound financial acumen

-Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to be proactive in the identification of HR initiatives to develop the organization

-Ability to communicate with offshore leadership, both within HR and the wider business

-Exposure to HRIS (ideally Success Factors)

-Relevant exposure to different cultures through previous experience in managing other countries or being involved in cross-country projects is a plus

-UK/Nordics/SA Leadership Team, Modern Markets & other International HR colleagues, International and Global specialist/COE teams – Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Rewards, Payroll & Workforce Administration (WFA)

For this opportunity, you'll need to be flexible to travel up to 20% (Visits to Sweden and South Africa). Our Home working policy applies
