The Senior Finance and Costing Analyst is a core member of the EMEA Integrated Supply Chain F&C team. The team provides analysis and decision support to Leadership for various operations including product costing, Sourcing and Supply Chain P&L's, Slow Moving Inventory. The role leads Product Costing in areas of building standards, supporting marketing and commercial initiatives.
Financial Accounting and Reporting for Product Costing. Build annual standard costs.
Price variance analysis, manufacturing and usage variances analysis.
Complete a reconciliation template of annual budgetary changes for management review. Make revisions at management direct.
Create and provide estimated new/potential product costs for business opportunities.
Financial Forecasting and Budgeting for Supply Chain
Provide business decision support through ownership of costing and any other relevant ad-hoc analysis. Make recommendations and drive improved performance.
Execution of the standard costs process.
Maintaining product Bill of materials (BOM's).
Ensure that appropriate balance sheet provisions are consistent with local and U.S. GAAP, SOX requirements and follow all corporate policies.
Reviewing and developing existing systems, tools and processes to ensure; Internal Controls are effective, the integrity of financial information, and that services provided to the business are efficient and cost effective.
Collaborating with Global Product Costing team, Marketing, Demand Planning, Warehouse & Logistic, Supply Planning, Packaging Center of Excellence teams to support corporate initiatives. Proactively participate in the sharing of new/innovative practices that enhances efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills and Experience
Solid experience in an accounting role focused on Manufacturing/Costing role.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to synthesize and effectively convey findings to management and functional areas.
Proven ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced environment, ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment.
Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers, peers and effectively manage those relationships.
Experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge.
Highly organized, with excellent time management skills in order to manage deadlines and multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
Advanced computer literacy skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Flexible and adaptable to change in accordance with business needs.
Good team player, comfortable working as part of a matrix environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA Qualified with strong experience in manufacturing and costing within an organization of similar size and complexity, ideally gained within an FMCG environment.
Good exposure in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis.
Experiences in system implementation a plus.
SAP experience is preferred. Excellent excel skills preferred.
