Position Summary

The role of an Equipment Engineer is high calibre person that requires someone with good mix of technical and people skills. In this role, you will lead the Technical team (Packaging) to improve equipment uptime cost effectively to meet or exceed customers’ expectations and business goals.

We are looking an experienced Equipment Engineer and will be based at our Singapore Plant located in 25 Gul Way, reporting to the Principal Engineer. This is a hands-on role and prefers someone who can work without supervision and meticulous at work. You are good in team engagement and development, collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement activities, achieve exceptional maintenance program and equipment performance.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and support a team comprising of Engineering Specialist and technicians, to deliver functional and Hoshin goals, with effective internal or external teamwork and collaboration

  • Provide Engineering solutions to equipment reliability or quality problems with effective problem-solving skills

  • Continuous improvement mindset into equipment design or system setup to deliver low-cost maintenance and high reliability

  • Develop project budget and expenditure; implement productivity improvement projects (CAPEX) and support local or global initiated projects

  • Compile and analyse maintenance and cost data, lead meetings and perform presentation

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least three (3) years of working experience in equipment maintenance within manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification

  • Knowledgeable or experience in maintenance system or program (AutoCAD, SAP, etc.) would be a plus

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of parties (technicians, customers, and stakeholders)

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in developing a diversify and cross-cultural team

  • Problem solving tools practitioner; Project management experience preferred

Working Relationships & Environment

Reporting to Principal Engineer, the incumbent will work closely with Operations and Quality team.
