Reporting to the Business Director of Malaysia & Singapore, this role is instrumental to drive and champion consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues for Singapore market through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel in line with company vision and values. Lead commercial decision planning, identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and earnings.
Develop productive long term relationships with customers and create long term strategies with the clients
Implement the global sales strategy and prepare volume forecasts with Demand Planning and plans Develop plans to build-up weighted distribution in Singapore, and follow-up to achieve timely & effective implementation.
Develop in-store visibility plans in coordination with the Marketing Department; and follow-up to achieve timely & effective implementation.
Partner with the marketing department on the Key Accounts plan/s as per the strategy & guidelines set and agreed; follow-up on implementation; and report back progress & any recommendations to change or amend.
Achieve volume and values sales targets in Key Accounts Customers as per the annual plan and seize new sales growth opportunities
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping up to date with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts through Undertaking regular and frequent field visits to audit own and competitor activity
Monitor the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommend revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed and ensure general development for the overall sales process
Coach and develop team and provide on the job support in achieving sales target and compliance with the sales programs, policies and procedures
Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned account base
Deals with Major Key Account Customers and Distributors and oversees sales expansion, introducing new products/services to clients and organizing visits to current and potential clients.
Ensuring execution of National Consumer Promotion from Marketing
Required Skills and Experience
Degree level, preferably majoring in Sales & Marketing, Business Admin or similar qualification
Minimum 7 years of Key Accounts and/or Distributor Management within Consumer Products / FMCG industry, knowledgeable in both Modern and Traditional trade markets
5 or more years People Management or Supervisory experience, handling a team of 10-20 members
Stay engaged with the market, familiar with hands-on operations but also on strategic level. Lead commercial decision making, skilled in presenting to big audience and / or management at global level
Able to observe market trends, manage profit & loss and perform high level mid-to-long term strategy for the business
Excellent command of English in both writing and spoken. Proficient in other dialect will be an advantage
