Position Summary

An industrial electrical technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair, electrical and electromechanical systems. Support production, maintenance and project schedules. This is a rotating 12 hour shift position. Accountabilities

• Accurately troubleshoot common mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems. • Perform root-cause analysis to diagnose, repair and implement permanent solutions to equipment failures. • Perform and direct set-up & adjustments of equipment. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement that reduces operating costs. • Fabricate electrical systems including circuit boards, machine control panels and simple mechanical components. • Assemble electrical and mechanical systems as directed. • Install electrical equipment in accordance with the NEC and local electrical codes. • Troubleshoot all electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment problems. • Repair, rework electrical assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances with minimal supervision. • Perform and document necessary inspections and maintenance. • Test performance of electromechanical assemblies. • Demonstrate advanced skills in electrical maintenance to troubleshoot, correct and repair including power distribution from 480 volts AC down to 24 volts DC; machine electrical systems and components; knows NEC and electrical safety. • Troubleshoot, correct and repairs on various systems. Working knowledge and understanding of programing of PLC' • As required; successfully complete any training in compliance with standards organizations such as OSHA, NEC, NFPA, etc. Specific Accountabilities

Able to bend, stand, stoop, twist, climb, push and pull up to 50 lbs. and lift up to 35 lbs. Operate machinery, tools, hand tools, foot controls, visual acuity, and manual dexterity. Posses basic math, language and decision making skills. Possess intermediate reading, logic, and problem solving skills. Required Skills and Experience

• Proven technical skills in manufacturing environment • Education – A 2 year technical degree, or post high school training with equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical systems is required. • Demonstrated ability to solve a variety of complex technical problems. Working Relationships & Environment

Working knowledge of the Electrician's role in relationship to other in- plant processes. Working knowledge of quality controls and checks in all areas of the chemical plant. Working knowledge of safety procedures in all areas of the chemical plant. Assist others as required by operating conditions and supervision. Responsible for compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping initiatives. Responsible to participate in all safety training.
