Energizer Quality Manufacturing Technician in Marietta, Ohio

Position Summary
The Quality Technician position is responsible for providing quality support to the shift/department supervisors, engineers and operators throughout the facility. Achieve assigned Quality objectives which lead to improving consumer value in our products and processes. Provide solid support to Energizer Marietta Plant and product teams in translating and integrating quality results in the lab.
Accountabilities
Perform laboratory analysis using Atomic Absorption, sulfur analyzer, BET Surface Area, Titration, Particle Size, Ball Mill and others as needed or developed
Record data in WinSPC and Quality Databases
Summarize data as requested
Send samples as requested to other labs
Follow protocols to alert operations of out-of-control or out-of-specification conditions.
Prepare samples per test schedules and special requests
Make-up standards for testing.
Monitor data collected during the manufacturing process
Investigate assignable cause and corrective action for problematic issues
Communicate feedback to operators concerning product quality
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including attendance and performance expectations
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
Assess lab equipment status for current calibration, cleanliness, and wear
Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment and coordinate servicing
Update and maintain quality work instruction and control plans
Assist operators in proper measurement techniques and statistical process control
Manage Industrial Hygiene program testing.
Required Skills and Experience
Associates degrees or higher
3-5 years laboratory experience
Basic computer skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook
Exceptional communication (written & verbal)
Ability to maintain a positive functional relationship with employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to prioritize daily job tasks effectively
Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and strong multi-tasking abilities
Preferred Skills and Experience
S Chemistry or degree in related field
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience working in a quality-related role
Skilled in using Minitab or similar programs
Working knowledge of statistical process control

Reports to Quality Manager
Interface with hourly colleagues, shift Supervisors, Managers, Engineers, and other Quality Technicians
Work Environment
All work takes place in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented production environment
Most work activities will take place within a temperature and humidity-controlled lab/office environment setting, but there may need to take part in activities in the production environment which is not temperature and humidity controlled
The colleague will regularly be required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
The colleague must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
This position will require the need to work overtime, including weekends
