Position Summary

We are looking for an Account Receivable Analyst to join our team in Milan for a fixed term contract of 12 months.

Your mission would be to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Finance team and actively support the corporate vision of outstanding customer service to our sales force and trading partners through effective credit management and appropriate financial controls of all customers under responsibility

Accountabilities

  • Execution of Credit Control process – releasing of Sales Orders according to internal policies

  • Managing the process of setting and revising customer Credit Limits as well as conducting activities leading to shortening Customer payment terms / credit risk minimization

  • Maintenance of the customer master files (credit limits, payment terms) as per company and local policies

  • Managing past dues and the dunning process in liaison with the sales teams and contribute to DSO performance measurement and monitoring in support of the agreed strategies. Ensure results are communicated in a prompt manner (monthly DSO/past due reports)

  • Ensuring timely corporate reporting (monthly DSO/past due reports, bad debts, credit risks…)

  • Execution of critical SOX control processes: monthly SOX controls for billing, customer master data and credit limits

  • Monitor Account receivable on a monthly basis to ensure validity, completeness and accuracy of transactions therein and follow up any material variances

  • Supporting Customer Supply Chain Team and Customer Master Data Administrator in credit notes processing based on SAP data and on Customer demand

  • Posting of bank statements, AR/AP clearings, ensuring daily updating of exchange rates in SAP, supporting posting processes, accounts reconciliation for monthly closing, preparing financial analysis for corporate and management reporting

  • Other activities required as part of the operational work of the F&C Department from time to time like ad hoc analysis or support for projects identified for the Management

Required Skills and Experience

  • University degree (preferably in Economics)

  • Strong experience in SAP, Excel (VBA user would be appreciated) and proficient with Microsoft Office tools

  • Proven track record of creating solutions in use of data and systems

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills – essential

  • Highly organized and able to manage deadlines effectively and efficiently

  • High levels of attention to detail

  • Strong customer focus

  • Flexible and responsive working style

  • Tenacity, common sense

  • Initiative and drive

  • Experience of working within a similar business environment – FMCG

  • Experience in BI a plus
