Position Summary

Are you ready to utilise your experience in sales and create records in a highly energetic and achieving environment?

We are currently looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to develop General or Traditional Trade (GT/TT) Market for Northern and East Coast Peninsula Malaysia region, including Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang. Reporting to the Channel Director, the candidate will lead and develop a team of Area Sales Managers and Key Dealer Supervisors; developing distributor management, sales program planning and implementation, towards Energizer’s growth and contribute to overall sales revenue.

This is an ideal role for an experienced and highly motivated sales professional who is looking to be successful in a well-known international MNC, and comfortable to travel regularly across states in Northern and East Coast of Peninsula Malaysia for business purposes.


  • Plan, direct, and monitor the activities of a sales team within Northern and East Coast Peninsula Malaysia region to achieve established sales targets

  • Guide the day-to-day activities of a regional sales force in order to implement the organization's overall sales plan for an assigned region.

  • Responsible and accountable to achieve TT channel KPIs: NIS/IMS, Inventory, TI, GM and Market Share

  • Develop ABP plan, TT sales strategies and Business Plan for the territory

  • Develop and implement GTM strategy to ensure distribution and coverage. Provide market insight and competitor information with propose action plan

  • Monitor the performance of the sales teams or branches within the region and re-allocate resources to improve overall results.

  • Lead and guide distributors to achieve company targets, ensure effective and timely implementation of Sales and Marketing program or activity; accountable to distributor system data integrity and inventory accuracy

  • Conduct periodic Business Strategic Review with Distributor and Key Customers

  • Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies for the region.

  • Oversee sales support activities such as sales administration, customer service, distribution, invoicing, and credit and collections to ensure that customer orders are processed, dispatched, invoiced, and paid accurately and on time.

  • Guide Area Sales Managers on the technical aspects of the organization's products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets

Required Skills and Experience

  • Academic qualification (Degree or Diploma) with major in Business, Business Admin or equivalent

  • 7-10 years of GT / MT sales experience within FMCG industry in Malaysia, developing sales team and managing distributors or key accounts across states

  • Demonstrated regional experience in implementing sales plan and operations function. Business mindset, ROI-driven, willing to work under pressure environment and achieve results

  • Experienced in using Sales Force Automation / Distribution Management System on field sales process and data analysis

  • Regular usage of Microsoft Excel (using VLookup and Pivot Table for mass data analysis and reporting) and Powerpoint (for management presentation)

  • Excellent command of English in both writing and spoken. Proficient in other dialect will be an advantage
