Position Summary

Reporting to Brand Manager, Autocare, this position adapts Area & Cluster Marketing Cycle Plans to achieve sub-region net sales, gross margin, and share objectives, implement the marketing strategy supporting the stated commercial objectives for the assigned brands within Autocare segment, across Distributor Markets in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (AP/MEA).

A role to conceptualize, plan & lead local brand activations to help grow faster than category, achieve higher consumer engagement and improved brand equity of assigned brands, thereby leading to improved shares & business health.


  • Ownership & direct responsibility for execution of annual marketing cycle plan and control over associated budgets

  • Responsible for analysing and proposing tactical changes to range pricing and packaging

  • Supervising execution of Area promotions while recommending local activity to increase consumer engagement

  • Monitoring and periodic reporting of critical elements of competitive actions related to product, price, distribution, visibility and promotions

  • Local planning and close collaboration with commercial teams to support visibility, distribution width and depth solutions, and establish portfolio ranging needs by channel and market

  • Provide Nielsen review updates to Hub and Commercial team for volume & value share, AUP, distribution wins and losses and source of volume wins and losses for the Company and competition

  • Adapt trade stories provided by International Trade Development team to support commercial team in range listings, shelf space and visibility enhancement

  • Manage relationships with BTL and digital agencies to ensure local planning and execution of activities

  • Critically analyse available retail audit data and category trends, review pricing, portfolio and distribution for business segments vs. competition in major markets

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent required with an emphasis on Business, Marketing or similar

  • 3-5 years of Brand management / Trade marketing experience. Significant operational experience in brand, shopper marketing, category management, and digital marketing in a locally or globally recognized CPG/FMCG corporation

  • Fluent English with regional cross-market/multi-cultural exposure

  • Solid critical thinking skills to hit the ground running with proven collaboration and communication skills

  • Demonstrated competencies in influencing, change management, and achieving results in alignment with business goals.

  • Strong Project Management, conceptual and number / analytical skills

  • Solid understanding of key accounts and traditional trade retail environments

  • Agency and supplier management experience

  • Ability to effectively communicate to and lead internal and external teams

Working Relationships & Environment

  • Reports to Brand Manager, Auto Care (Distributor Markets)

  • Key relationships internally with Commercial (Sales Managers and Director), Finance and Supply Chain, Area Sr. Managers Auto Care & Fragrance, Marketing Director - Distributor Markets, Brand Managers, and peer Brand Activation Managers.

  • Externally with agencies and suppliers.
