This position is based in Malaysia, report to Shared Service Centre Manager – Accounts Payable.
Responsible for management of APAC & Dubai Accounts Payable, Travel & Entertainment (T&E) operations and ensure timely deliverables.
Attending to the AP inquires and ensure all incoming AP inquiries are resolved in a timely manner and manage escalations as needed.
Provides consistent high-quality service to the stakeholders.
Ensure the team attending daily status of invoice queues and ensure invoices cleared by month end.
Carry out review of month end reports and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner and comply with controls requirement.
Review payment proposals to ensure payment accuracy and release payment on a timely manner.
Ensure the team adhere to AP process controls for the detection of fraud and errors and mitigate the risk.
Coordinate with the in-market teams and the GL teams where necessary, review and ensure aged open items are properly addressed.
Perform monthly/quarterly/yearly closing task and ensure AP close per agreed timeline.
Perform balance sheet analysis for AP related area and commentary for Financial Reporting purpose. Prepare quarterly reporting for management presentation.
Extend necessary support for the Statutory Audits and Taxation related matters.
Team – Work collaboratively with in market teams and SSC teams and proactively participate in the sharing of new/innovative practices and process improvement that enhances efficiency and effectiveness
Provide support to Global driven improvement project when necessary.
Extend support to projects assigned (Eg: SAP migration, CFin reconciliation, Oversight exception review, AP Automation etc)
Assist manager to manage the team and ensure achieving universal accountabilities outlined above.
What we are looking for
Accounting or Finance Degree, or ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified
Minimum 2 years relevant working experiences as Senior or Team Lead role in relevant field.
Working experiences in Shared Service environment and knowledge in SAP/ iscalaa will be an added advantage
