The position will provide manufacturing engineering support to the Energizer, Rassau Auto Care facility. The position will report into, and work closely with the Engineering and Maintenance Leader, Production Supervisors, and Maintenance team, to lead and manage improvement actions, in support of our evolving and changing business requirements.
Lead and coordinate engineering workstreams in support of production strategies together with providing technical support to our production teams.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure the engineering team fulfil their duties by applying tools and techniques not limited to Dynamic Control Planning, Feasibility studies, Change Control, Project fund tracking, CCAR’s, Energizer Production System and other related systems. Actively drive the mind-set of change required to achieve the above.
Work with colleagues and the site training leader to ensure an effective training needs analysis is carried out and executed for your team.
Coordinate the team, and individual activities to maximise workload to achieve daily goals, with a view of achieving longer term scorecard objectives, including management of the engineering budget.
Continually assess and coach the teams to ensure standard practice is implemented to ensure optimum safety, quality and delivery elements are met during day to day and project activities.
Be proactive in the involvement of investigating quality or production constraints and concerns, applying methodical problem-solving techniques to ensure fault resolution and recurrence prevention. Ensure follow up actions are captured and carried out by means of a 6 Panel and 5 Why process.
Lead\coordinate shutdown work/project planning & delivery. You will be required to lead and support the following:
Forward planning and launch activities
Provide "hands on" engineering support to the team
What we are looking for
Applicants should ideally possess, or be studying towards a degree (or equivalent academic body) in Engineering or related subject
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or related activity would be desirable
A working knowledge of quality tools, including 6 Sigma, 6 Panel reporting, FMEA and DCP is highly advantageous
Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise tasks, be a confident decision maker, and manage a demanding work schedule
