This position will be responsible for providing financial support of Overhead, Advertising/Promotion, and P&L consolidation activities for North America and Global Accounts. In this role, the Analyst will work with the Finance, Commercial, and Marketing teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information in support of achieving sales and profit goals.
Provide financial and business analysis for Finance and Customer teams during monthly close and forecast cycles, as well as annual business planning.
Analyze Customer plans to ensure financial expectations are achieved.
Provide decision support to Commercial Teams to help optimize Energizer’s sales and profit growth.
Responsible for providing business insights and financial awareness training to the commercial organization in addition to on-going review and improvement of Finance owned and facilitated tools, systems, and processes. Ensuring optimal productivity and effectiveness as business needs evolve.
Assist in development, monthly tracking, and variance analysis of Overhead and Advertising/Promotion activity for the North America and Global HAB/OEM P&Ls.
Assist Finance Team in quarterly trade spend reconciliation processes.
Responsible for Variance Analysis submittals to Hyperion Planning (monthly actuals, forecasts, and annual business plan).
Maintain Team SharePoint site and various reporting files as necessary.
Provide decision support analysis for Customer and Marketing Teams, including trade spend reconciliation and forecast submittals.
Assist in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan and Forecasts, including submittals to Hyperion Planning.
Provide financial support for various company projects as necessary.
May also perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 2 years of experience in finance and accounting
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to manipulate and analyze data
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business partners
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to eliminate non-value-added work
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize based on business strategies and objectives
Preferred Skills and Experience
CPA / MBA preferred
Hyperion Planning experience preferred
SAP experience preferred
Working Relationships & Environment
Reports to: Senior Manager - Finance
Engagement includes: Sales, Trade Marketing, Marketing, and Supply Chain
