Develops annual marketing plans and manages execution of agreed plans to drive business growth consistent with the global marketing cycle plan and direction. Champions and communicates marketing cycle plans to local commercial teams.
Enables Energizer to win @ retail by leading the team to provide insight-based category and shopper strategies and solutions based on business trends and category expertise. Develop insightful and actionable analysis, reports and presentations and participate in the annual planning process for key customers and channels.
Leads and owns the development of annual marketing plan to meet business objectives in line with global direction
Leads, develops and implements the execution of consumer promotion & activation and new product launches in line with global direction
Ensures that brand pricing, sales and margin targets are agreed and met
Demonstrates category thought leadership and critical thinking.
Owns and manages the A&P budget within agreed limits.
Develops a detailed understanding of all aspects of the market using global insights plus local category, trade, shopper and consumer and competitor data that provides competitive advantage.
Develops (in collaboration with the Category team) and presents persuasive fact-based arguments using market and category dynamics and shopper insights that enable EHI and trade partners to benefit from profitable growth.
Builds a winning program of activities and initiatives in line with global marketing cycle plan and direction that drives consumer and shopper interest to meet agreed sales and margin targets.
Recommends and gains approval for consumer communication budget and manages approved media planning under guidance of Global Media team.
Leverages any ATL spend in market plans, monitors media effectiveness and recommends adaptations.
Manages the local launch and price positioning of new products in line with global marketing cycle plan.
Develops and oversees implementation of local promotional and visibility programs for the portfolio, in collaboration with the Central Marketing Activation team.
Works closely with local trade marketing and sales teams to maximize opportunities and ensure effective implementation of strategies and plans within major channels and customers.
Manages local adaptation of any global communication assets to be utilized in the market(s) under guidance from Global marketing. Coordinates with and manages local creative/activation agencies as required.
Analyses and evaluates implementation of key plans and activities on business and brand equity to maximize effectiveness and provide future improvement.
Provides intelligence and feedback on local needs to Global marketing team to influence strategic direction and cycle plan development.
Recommends annual A&P budget for the local market and manages expenditure in line with agreed limits
Required Skills and Experience
Degree or above in Business, Marketing or similar discipline.
5+ years solid brand management experience of working in consumer goods marketing or category
Solid experience of working in consumer goods marketing and sales
Exposure to working directly with customers and sales teams
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated competencies in critical & strategic thinking, collaboration, customer focus, and achieving results in alignment with business goals.

Preferred Skills and Experience
Knowledge and experience of North American retail landscape
Experience with EHI systems (Brandmaker, SAP, etc)

- Reports to Category Leader, Lighting. Key relationships internally include the Shopper Activation Team, Trade Marketing Team, Commercial Sales team, Business Intelligence, Marketing Operations, Lighting Category team, Finance & Supply Chain
