Position Summary

This position is responsible for financial oversight and ownership of the Global Hearing Aid Batteries (HAB) Pro and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Commercial business. The position will partner with the Commercial Leadership, providing financial analysis and insight to the Global Financial performance of the business, along with financial oversight on Global Accounts. In addition, the Sr. Manager will play a key role in establishing Global Reporting packages, standardizing and simplifying processes, transfer of financial knowledge and the reinforcement of financial principles to the Commercial Organization, and providing guidance to direct reports. Key Result Areas include delivering the Commercial ABP Net Sales, Gross Margin, Gross Margin Rate, A&P, and SG&A plan/forecast through team leadership, collaboration and change management while developing the Commercial Finance Team.

Accountabilities

  • Develop management reporting packages and provide analytics and insights on Global Financial performance (including market and product performance)

  • Develop and maintain financial tools and reporting systems to support the commercial planning and forecasting efforts.

  • Lead the Customer teams during business planning by providing financial and business analysis. Analyze Customer plans to ensure financial expectations are achieved.

  • Provide decision support to Commercial Teams to help optimize Energizer’s sales and profit growth.

  • Manage the Trade Spend funds to optimize ROI and ensure financial objectives are met.

  • Provide financial analysis for major proposals affecting the business; e.g. contract renewals and competitive pressures

Specific Accountabilities

  • Lead Business Partner to Global HAB and OEM Commercial Leadership

  • Provide P&L analysis and insights of Global Commercial Business (Net Sales, Gross Margin, A&P, SG&A) on Actual results, as well as Plans and Forecasts

  • Track Risks and Opportunities to current Forecast

  • Provide decision support analysis for Global Accounts, including financial modeling and profitability analysis for Global contracts.

  • Work with HAB/OEM Finance Team to calculate Global Customer Rebates and work with accounting to process payments

  • Develop Management Financial Reporting Packages

  • Assist in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan and Forecast, including submittals to HPL.

  • Support Overhead and A&P forecasting and budgeting

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure data integrity across various financial systems (GSR and HPL)

  • Responsible for the leadership and development of team members

  • Drive simplification and standardization into the financial processes Globally

  • May also perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting

  • Minimum 5 years of financial analytical experience

  • Broad P&L exposure

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint )

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business partners

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills

  • Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to eliminate non-value-added work

  • Must be a self-starter

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize based on business strategies and objectives

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the CPG industry preferred

  • CPA / MBA preferred

  • Hyperion Planning experience preferred

  • SAP experience preferred

  • People Leadership experience preferred

Working Relationships & Environment

  • Reports to: NA Finance Director

  • Engagement includes: Sales, Accounting, Trade Marketing, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain

Work Environment

  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary
