Energizer Associate Manager, Human Resources Business Partner in Saint Louis, Missouri

Position Summary
The Associate Manager, Human Resources, is responsible for providing Business Partner support to part of Energizer’s North America Commercial organization and Global Business Units. This position will typically interface with Vice President-level and below colleagues regarding colleague development, change management, employee relations issues, performance management, organizational effectiveness, recruitment, compensation, and talent management. This individual will provide support to the Director of Human Resources (based in St. Louis, MO) in communicating, delivering, and influencing human resources strategies and initiatives. This role will also support operational and tactical issues for assigned client groups.

Specific Accountabilities
Support implementation of HR strategies and initiatives to develop structure, processes, systems, solutions and metrics to enable leaders, teams, and colleagues to execute and achieve business targets.
Effectively work with line management in planning for and meeting business goals and objectives. Demonstrate ability to understand how the business operates at a fundamental level and partner with business team members to implement these solutions.
Partner with the business and HR team on recruitment, people development, and retention issues. Assist in building organizational capability and bench strength, ensuring the right people are in the right jobs.
Lead or participate in talent reviews, succession planning reviews, calibration reviews and performance management where appropriate.
Promote Energizer’s values, culture, and competency model. Drive annual performance management process and educate colleagues on career development tools.
Serve as a change agent and consultant to the business in support of the Company’s vision, mission, values, culture, strategy, and initiatives. Lead local execution of business and corporate HR initiatives through effective change management.
Provide coaching and advice to people managers on people-related matters
Manage local employee relations issues, partnering with Legal as appropriate
Drive awareness and adherence to Energizer’s compensation/rewards principles among people leaders
Ensure legal compliance and mitigate the Company’s risk by having a basic understanding of relevant United States employment laws and follow agreed processes. May track/monitor necessary data and information.
Drive utilization of the HR Operating Model, including manager and colleague self-service
Coordinate and monitor people manager use of HR tools, policies, and processes
Execute organizational effectiveness initiatives, such as implementing/monitoring organizational design principles and continuous improvement activities
Promote the role of Human Resources and enhance the credibility of the function; work collaboratively with Human Resources team members to proactively share best practices and processes.
Serve as a colleague advocate by addressing colleague concerns, raising awareness of issues, and being mindful of how different initiatives and actions will impact colleagues
May perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
University Degree (4 years) In Human Resources, Business or another related field
5+ years of functional Human Resources experience; part of this experience must include HR Business Partnership experience
Knowledge of United States labor/employment laws as they pertain to HR practices
Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Ability to influence for a desired outcome/result
Ability to respectfully challenge and say NO
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Change management experience- skilled at leading, influencing, and supporting change
Experience in managing employee relations issues, including complaints and investigations
Effective at balancing being a strategic partner, change agent, administrative expert, & employee champion
Strong analytics capability
Fluent in English
Strong business acumen
Previous experience coaching line managers
Ability to work independently
Preferred Skills and Experience
Advanced Degree (Masters or equivalent)
Prior experience with SAP Success Factors
Consumer Packaged Goods experience
Compensation or talent development experience
