Position Summary
Energizer is seeking a qualified candidate to expand its in-house media capabilities. The Associate Manager, Media and Digital Planning role is part of the Energizer Global Media team and reports to the Sr. Manager, Media and Digital Planning. This role involves working across the global organization and requires expertise in digital media, experience in e-commerce, strategic thinking, agility, collaboration, and creativity. The colleague will be responsible for developing strategy, setting up, optimizing, and reporting on all in-house media campaigns. They will also assist in managing the Armor All campaign and exploring emerging media opportunities such as shoppable commerce, DTC media tests, Google Manufacturer Center, Amazon DSP, and more. In addition, the colleague may help with setting up Amazon attribution links, pulling screenshots, and managing organic social & influencer programs. The colleague will collaborate with Digital Economy and Shopper Marketing teams to ensure that investments are aligned along the path to purchase, aiming to enhance product visibility and conversion. An ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong passion for digital media planning and execution, a desire to be creative, and the ability to think outside of the box. They should also possess strong analytical skills to review multiple metrics, draw insights, and align with business strategies. Adaptability to new technologies and alignment with the team culture to deliver results are also crucial. A firm understanding of auction-based search bidding is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Support Media and Digital Center of Expertise, including strategy and planning efforts
Drive cross-category media campaign discussions to identify opportunity areas and drive collaboration across categories, brands, and channels
Drive agency coordination and media buying activities
Responsible for set up, tracking, optimization and reporting of all in-house media campaigns
Responsible for Auto search strategy, inclusive of PLA, as well as sharing search best practices
Assists in management of Armor All national media, ensuring retailer/lower funnel plans connect to national
Plays key role in emerging media opportunities, inclusive of but not limited to: shoppable commerce, DTC, etc.
Identify trends/insights to optimize media spend and performance, develop conversion points and optimize user funnels
Owns search agency relationships and partners to drive execution in alignment with strategy
Conducts regular performance reporting to account teams in weekly and bi-weekly meetings
Performs periodic performance reporting through analytics and KPIs to the leadership
Works to resolve day to day search media issues, interfacing with search media agencies, vendors and internal stakeholders
Identifies new and creative growth strategies in search and shoppable commerce space
May also perform additional duties as assigned, inclusive of but not limited to: hybrid work between brand and media, influencer management, trafficking, etc.
CPG background preferred
Exposure and understanding of global marketplace dynamics and considerations
Demonstrable experience in Amazon Advertising, Walmart Advertising, and other retail auction based PPC and DSP advertising products
Demonstrable experience in leading digital marketing campaigns
Exposure and understanding of ecommerce retail business including item setup, product detail page content, and inventory impacts to media
What we are looking for
4-year degree required with an emphasis on Business, Marketing
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in media planning and buying, specifically in the digital space and/or Energizer specific business/systems experience
Strategic thinker, strong analytical capabilities and ability to review KPIs, develop insights, make connections with different results and tie it back to the business strategy and objectives, team player
Experience developing, planning, and defending rationale for paid search investments by region and customer
Ability to take initiative and self-direct
Strong attention to detail
Ability to effectively work cross-functionally and communicate to internal and external teams
Nimble and agile approach to adjust to changing consumer preferences and business strategies
Produce high-quality work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Proactive and solution oriented with a strong sense of urgency
Curiosity for the ever-changing media landscape, dynamic nature of ecommerce business model, and a passion for understanding and staying ahead of the trends
