Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Information Security Architect, this position is responsible for maintaining the security of Energizer's data, systems, and network.
This role will assess the current security controls environment and assist in developing security strategies and roadmaps to mitigate risk. This position will also implement, monitor and respond to new security platforms that strengthen Energizer's cyber-security.
The candidate of this role will administer security platforms including but not limited to intrusion detection system, e-mail security filtering, web content filtering, endpoint security and Multi-factor authentication, as well as help to establish security operations processes, procedures, and standards to ensure effective detection and response to threats.
This position is an escalation point for security incidents and actively responds to cyber-security events.
Specific Accountabilities
Administer key security systems; Intrusion Prevention, web and data security, e-mail security and encryption, anti-malware and endpoint security systems, Multifactor authentication systems.
Enforce security operations processes, procedures, and standards
Implement new security technologies - define requirements, research technology solutions, participate in RFPs
Identify security surveillance gaps, assist in developing strategic roadmaps for improvement of security posture
Provide technical security consulting to internal colleagues and cyber-security assistance to IT support staff
Investigate escalated security related incidents as needed
Communicates security strategy and direction to leadership
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
SANS GSEC certified, or able to obtain GSEC within one year of employment.
Ability to work with confidential information, use discretion and best judgment
Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Advanced knowledge of IDS/IPS, brute-force attack, exploits, privilege escalation, lateral movement
Advanced knowledge of Multi-Factor authentication theory and operation
Advanced knowledge of Email spoofing, security countermeasures, Phishing and email security controls
Core knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Network Layers, etc.)
Self-motivated and ability to work independently
Demonstrated ability develop security plans strategies to mitigate risk
Linux/UNIX experience desirable
