Position Summary

This position is a key member of the International Modern Markets marketing team with day-to-day accountability for assigned brand(s) and supervision of team members engaged in brand marketing work. Is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing marketing activities in South Korea that increase the value of the brand portfolio with the result of increased brand image, sales, and market share.

Responsibilities

Universal Accountabilities

  • Develops and implements annual marketing plans in support of commercial and activation objectives.

  • Inform and influence Global Category colleagues on the market needs and limitations to ensure a flow of timely innovation

  • Drives the introduction of new products, product news, new packaging.

  • Manages advertising and promotional budget.

  • Manages agency activities including copy brief, creative development, production, spending, budget, and reporting.

  • Translates consumer and shopper insights into actionable brand opportunities.

  • Leads the development and execution of key growth programs including packaging, merchandising, promotion, and event marketing.

  • Selects, trains, and develops team members through objective setting and executive, performance feedback and appraisals, and strategic human resource planning.

  • Also provides coaching and mentoring in support of the Lean Leadership Structure.

  • Collaborates with sales and marketing colleagues to successfully drive brand strategies and plans through customers and to the marketplace.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with other functional areas within the organization that foster commitment, teamwork and excellence in execution.

Specific Accountabilities

  • May also perform additional duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

  • Degree level with marketing specialty

  • 5+ years of experience in consumer packaged goods marketing.

  • Proven leadership and strategic abilities.

  • Must be a decisive, action oriented individual with experience leading others.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various functional groups within the organization and external agencies.

  • Ability to influence the decision making process while balancing strategic and financial factors and priorities.

  • Highly developed project management, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Must demonstrate mastery of marketing techniques.

  • MBA preferred
