Position Summary

CDM is a key member of Commercial team with a focus on driving strategic initiatives in category and channels strategies. Responsible for developing the monthly, quarterly, and annual trade promotion plan including ISP, visibility programs and new product launching plan, aligned with marketing & sales to achieve target in market share, distribution, sales and margins. CDM manages the effective deployment of budget and tracking & monitoring execution of trade marketing activities to use POC activation tools effectively. This position will directly report to business director, Korea.


•Developing the annual Category & Channel Development plan, ISP plan and Visibility plan, new product launching plan, aligning with Marketing & Sales based on international /regional guidelines to achieve targets in market shares, distribution, sales and margins

•Initiating and leading the development of market copy strategy / executions and/or to ensure adaptation possible for other area & regions

•Developing effective POC promotion programs which will drive profitable volume growth

•Setting up trade marketing activity guidelines and KPIs to meet and maximize result.

•Enhancing promotion results in terms of profit and volume by channel aiming at the optimal performance of return on investment

•Competitive analysis(on going) and contingency planning according to market environment change

•Managing the effective deployment of the budget and tracking & monitoring execution of trade marketing activities for POC activation tools used effectively

•Managing Market Share by product, channel , customer, area using Nielsen, POS data and other available data

•Collaborate with internal customer, Commercial, Marketing, Finance and supply chain team to drive initiatives; Regular status meetings and ensure forecast accuracy

Required Skills and Experience


•Bachelor's Degree or above in any related disciplines ( MBA would be plus )

•At least 7 years working experience in FMCG or similar industry preferred

•3-5 years of Trade Marketing or similar experience in the sizeable organization in FMCG field

•Preferable to have 2-3 years of relevant experience in commercial or commercial planning area, including Sales planning and Brand Management

•Experienced over cross-functional team participation

Technical skills:

•Fluent English is a must (frequent interaction with International Trade Marketing)

•Negotiation skills – internally and externally

•Commercial delivery - result oriented

•Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills

•Experience in performance management and financial/budgeting processes

•Ability to manage trade Investment budget and volume forecasting

•Proficient knowledge of channel management, market analysis using POS and Nielsen data
