Position Summary

The Channel Director, Retail trade is a critical position in delivering profitable growth at Energizer Household Products in whole retail trade channel. The Channel Director plays a critical role to manage and oversee entire Retail trade (RT) channels, like Hyper, Corporate large supermarket, CVS, and to lead Retail Trade organization in ensuring and achieving RT channel annual business plan and commercial goal and KPIs.

This position should lead and manage all product ranging, promotion, visibility and sales performance by taking charge of all RT key accounts directly or indirectly via people management. This position is well-suited for someone who has a strong leadership, business strategy & acumen, macro & micro-management of product portfolio by channel, and excelled people management and interpersonal skill to collaborate effectively with the wider internal and external teams and stakeholders.

Working with a highly experienced and hands-on Management Team, this is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Professional to embark on and expand their coverage. This position will report to Business Director, Korea.

Universal Accountabilities

• Develop Business planning and commercial strategies in RT channel

• Plans that are consistent with the organization’s overall mission, vision, and long-term objectives

• Develop and execute annual business plans that efficiently achieves Customer & EHI goals/objectives

• Develop, Lead, direct, and evaluate the team’s sales force to achieve established sales and profit goals

• Manage overall team target of net sales and GM$ and GM% monthly quarterly and annually

• Collaborate with internal customers, CDM, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain team

Responsibilities

• Ensure that RT commercial strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and aligned with the overall corporate objectives

• Establish RT commercial targets in areas such as product mix, sales volume/value, market share, or business development and monitor the performance of the organization

• Diamond multi-faceted approach to ensure ST strategies and actions consistent across and to enhance influencing power to be able to get shared information, shared decision, shared opportunity and shared risk

• Develop and strategic customer segmentation and high integrity customer agreements in RT

• Develop and RT sales force training, development and incentive aligned to execution

• Manage all RT customer contracts, trade investment management and promotion ROI analysis, with the support of the channel director

• Forster strong customer relations with key distributors or vendors to ensure long term partnership that promotes sales growth

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant qualification. (MBA would be plus)

• Minimum 15 years of working experience in FMCG or similar industry, including Minimum 7 years of Retail Trade sales experience in the sizeable FMCG

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in leadership.

• Preferable to have 3-5 years of experience in commercial planning area, including Sales planning, Sales operation or Trade marketing

• Experienced in cross-functional team participation

• Strong presentation skill and influencing skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Fluent in English

• Competencies: Strategic thinking/Critical thinking /result oriented/ Team leadership/Inspiring and motivating others/Change management/Acting with integrity

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Household/Personal care/Food/Drug/Mass selling experience preferred

• Experience with CBP/ JBP preferred

• Plenty of experience on P&L and what impacts decisions can have on the P&L

• Proficient knowledge of channel management, market analysis using POS and Nielsen data

• Familiarity with AC Neilson and Category data

• Ability to manage trade Investment budget, volume forecasting
