Energizer Account Receivable (AR) Analyst in Shanghai, China

Position Summary

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst, who has experience of working in a foreign-invested FMCG company. This role will directly report to the F&C Manager and be responsible for Credit Control, Account Receivable and Trade Investment responsibilities for Energizer Shanghai.

Accounts Receivable includes the management of customer's account and the accurate bookkeeping of both the invoicing and discount activity of the business. The analysis of the trade investment monthly along with clearing open items on the account.

Accountabilities

  • Credit Control and Account Receivable of Customer account

o Customer maintenance in SAP system, including master-data maintenance, regularly review and block inactive customers, update customer price in system

o By written and verbal communications to collect overdue debt. Be responsible for keeping the AR ledger updated in SAP, and reconciliation of customer account to minimize overdue items.

o Partner of commercial team to plan next month collection schedule

o Update VAT tax from customers in system

o Provide invoices to customers. Investigate disputes and send copy SO/invoice with proof of delivery where required, to resolve open items off the account to a closed status.

o Follow company's credit control policy and release orders blocked in system.

o Follow up and update customer credit terms and credit limit necessarily according to company policy

o Follow up other deposits with Finance team and post them to the appropriate GL codes

  • Trade Investment accrual and settlement

o Prepare monthly TI accrual schedule and monthly reconciliations of the TI spending, keep the data updated.

o Process and verify all TI claims from customers/commercial team and understand the variance from relevant accrued balance.

o Offset approved TI claims from customer outstanding AR account, and reconcile the offset report.

o TI analysis on TI aging report

  • Reports

o Monthly customer AR aging report, past due report and DSO report.

o Monthly TI aging report

o Monthly collection schedule for debts due by next month, and an update in mid-month

o Monthly APAC Reports submitted to APAC credit team

o Quarterly schedule of Allowance for Bad Debts

  • Others

o Any other finance & controllership tasks that assigned to employee by his/her direct Manager as per daily work requirements

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification

  • 3-5 years of experience of AR or Trade investment role with a reputable FMCG

  • Pharmacy & Hardware industry will also be considered.

  • Exposure in working with e-commerce accounts as client are advantageous.

  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail and high rated accuracy.

     

Working Relationships & Environment

This position is based in Shanghai, and reports to F&C Manager who is locally based. This position provides support to GAC & HAB Commercial business, works with Customer Service team in China; Shared Services Team in Shenzhen.
