Position Summary

Responsible for supporting and enhancing an Advanced Data Analytics program designed to derive value from data and provide analytical insights to stakeholders and business partners.  Contributes to Energizer's success by ensuring business needs and goals are realized through detailed and thorough analysis.  Responsible for supporting cross-functional leaders with accurate and timely information, enabling data-driven decision making.  Complete complex data analyses projects which will include combinations of elements from a variety of functions including, but not limited to, Finance, Commercial, HR, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations.  In addition, the individual will be expected to participate in training & development opportunities within the Advanced Data Analytics group and provide consultation on the interpretation of data and analytics to various business partners throughout the organization.

  • Drive collaboration and insights through the use of analytics that will identify opportunities, support decision making, and improve business performance

  • Participate on assigned project teams to achieve common goals, while building integrated collaborative relationships with other team members, business partners, and stakeholders

  • Drive proactive change and improvements through Lean initiatives

Specific Accountabilities

  • Support the information and analytic needs of the Finance, Integrated Supply Chain and other departments

  • Query databases comfortably to provide information and meaningful insights to internal customers

  • Collaborate with business functions and IT to define and document analytic needs and requirements

  • Design & develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations

  • Design & develop what-if business scenario models

  • Design & develop data models from disparate data sets

  • Present data and analytical results to leadership audiences in a fashion that is easy to understand

  • Leverage knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and capabilities to explore data and extract insights

  • Enable change within the organization by defining data & analytic needs and making recommendations

  • Perform root cause analysis to identify issues and formulate solutions

  • Support the delivery of critical projects through scope/requirement setting, providing information to cross-functional teams, user acceptance testing, and end user adoption

  • Performance benchmarking & KPI reporting

  • Perform as-needed data profiling and business analysis

  • Support acquisition-related due-diligence and integration analyses

Required Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree required (Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related area)

  • 3-5 years of data analysis

  • Demonstrated understanding of data analytics and business analysis

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Business Objects, Microstrategy, Power BI, Tableau)

  • Experience querying large databases/data warehouses with SQL

  • Understanding of relational databases and data modeling

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects/assignments

  • Ability to work independently with minimal instructions

  • Self-motivated and highly adaptable to change

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Consumer Packaged Goods industry

  • Experience in finance, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or procurement field

  • Understanding of statistical methods and predictive analytics

  • Knowledge of statistical programming languages and tools (e.g. R, Python, etc.)

  • Knowledge of data wrangling tools (Alteryx, SSIS, Data Services)

  • Network Modeling – Manual or Software-based

  • Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis

Working Relationships & Environment

Working Relationships

  • Will report directly to the Director of Advanced Data Analytics

  • Will work in the Enterprise Analytics & Data Governance group

  • Will closely partner with Finance, Commercial, HR, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Information Technology, and other internal cross-functional departments

  • Will interface with varying levels of internal customers / cross-functional personnel

Work Environment

  • Office environment

  • Willing to travel domestically & globally (as needed) – less than 10% in total
