Energizer is a global company that owns an extensive portfolio of some of the World's most recognizable brands and icons, including Energizer and the Energizer Bunny, Rayovac , Eveready, VARTA, Armor All, STP, A/C Pro , Eagle One, Lexol, Nu Finish, California Scents, Refresh Your Car, Driven and Bahama & Co.. Energizer is seeking a highly motivated docket clerk to join our dynamic legal team and handle critical responsibilities related to our trademark portfolio. In this position, the Trademark Docketing Clerk will handle all docketing, support and administrative functions related to Energizer's global trademark portfolio. This position will report to the Senior Trademark Paralegal.
Strong attention to detail
Reviewing incoming correspondence from the USPTO and foreign counsel
Docket all relevant information and dates for trademark matters
Generate docket, billing, status and other reports as needed for attorneys and paralegals.
Monitors and maintains deposit account with USPTO
Helps establish and maintain FIP docketing system for trademarks and patent invention disclosures
Manage outside counsel vendor set up in billing system
Arrange for signatures on documents and file electronically in document management system
Performs other related activities as required
Required Skills and Experience
1-2 years' experience working in a law firm, corporate law group, or another related legal environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Computer and database skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to efficiently determine important legal information that needs to be reviewed, docketed or corrected
Strong oral and written communication skills when communicating with attorneys, paralegals and foreign counsel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize tasks
Preferred Skills and Experience
2-5 years docketing system experience (Foundation IP preferred)
Working Relationships & Environment
Reports to Senior Trademark Paralegal
Key relationships internally will include attorneys and paralegals
