The Lead Designer, Creative Design Digital Economy role will support our mission through the development and execution of Ecommerce and Digital creative asset solutions and artwork for our multi branded portfolios that drives brand conversion whilst aligning with global brand and product strategies and priorities to drive growth and profitability.
The Lead Designer will play a key role in driving eCommerce design recommendations on the direction our brands and product or service should take. Responsibilities include analyzing current digital marketing research data and design trends and advise and develop practical design strategy and solutions for marketing plans as well as defining brand elements and tone. Takes responsibility for overseeing and delivering creative work of various mediums that meets the DE and Global Category Marketing needs. In this role, will lead a team and will report to the Creative Design Senior Manager.
Up-to-date with ecommerce trends, which drive innovative and experimental multimedia strategies
Leads Ecommerce and Digital graphic development and transcreation in line with Brand look and feel
Coordinates with Project Managers, Designers, Digital Economy and Category Teams to ensure timely execution of ecommerce digital content and assets
Assist manager with ecommerce content strategy implementation and expansion
Leads and works on the creative process and providing clear creative direction to content designers on team
Collaborate closely with Digital Economy team to drive written and visual customer-specific digital media creative and copy
Help identify content gaps in the customer journey and provide guidance and oversee the creation of content to fill those gaps
Assets include but are not limited to: A+ content, B+ Enhanced content, optimizing packaging hero images, and retail specific assets
Initial role will be focused on digital economy assets with potential future need to assist with social media content and platform visuals
Reviewing proofs at all stages, tracking all revisions, organizing & maintaining proof files
Lead and attend project meetings to understand concept, timelines, objectives and specifications
Manage daily workflow effectively
Recommend improvements in design concepts, tools, processes and/or assigned tasks
Support the design team with technical problem solving in the development of design elements and layouts
Act as advisor to designers through project deliverables
Organizing assets, shepherding/traffic to stakeholders, executing asset deployment
Review files prior to releasing/delivering to ensure adherence to established standards
Interact with outside agency and vendors
Collaborate and work closely with other design specialists including but not limited to: lead designers, project managers, production manager, industrial designers, illustrators, retouchers, photographers, etc.
May also perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
4-year degree required in Visual Design, Graphic Design, or other related degree or equivalent combination of experience and instruction.
Experience leading eCommerce content creation teams
3-4 years’ agency or in-house experience creating Retailer.com or digital merchandising assets
High Fluency and experience with content creation software, such as a content management system (CMS), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects or similar
Creative concept skills, category/product research, brainstorming
Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver on brand visuals
Team player that strives to maximize team and department performance with positive attitude
Ability to influence change without direct ownership
Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
Ability to take initiative and self-direct
Working Relationships & Environment
Experience with Project Management tools like Workfront
Familiarity with Digital Asset Management tools
Digital Economy Content Manager
Closely collaborates with Project Managers, Digital Economy Team, Category Teams, and Activation Leads
