Position Summary

Energizer is looking for a strong, qualified candidate to assist in the management of our Global Automotive media plans. The Global Assistant Manager, Global Automotive Media and Digital Planning role reaches across the global organization and requires strategic thinking, agility, collaboration, and creativity. This colleague will partner directly with the Global and Area Marketing Leaders of our batteries and lights categories, assisting in the development of traditional and digital media strategy, leading campaign executions, as well as, serve as the agency partner in buying and executing of the media plan in specific international markets.

A successful candidate must display a strong passion for both traditional and digital media planning, a desire to be creative and think outside of the box, strong analytical skills to be able to review multiple metrics, draw insights and tie back to the business strategies. They should also display adaptability to new technologies and be aligned with our culture of working together as one team to deliver results.


  • Assist in development and execution of social media approach across all global markets and across all Energizer Holdings, Inc. automotive brands.

  • Assist in agency coordination of social media buying, execution and analysis

  • Conduct social media analysis and optimization in partnership with agencies

Specific Accountabilities

  • Partner with manager as well as global and area business owners to develop a global social media strategy and campaigns (primary: paid social, secondary: display, TV, print, SEO and more)

  • Coordinate budgeting, planning and execution of paid social media campaigns

  • Own daily project management of agencies

  • Project manage campaign execution working with internal stakeholders

  • Conduct data-driven planning and execution of social marketing campaigns inclusive of geographic, channel, content, pacing, etc. optimizations.

  • Be familiar with and proficient in using web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Ad Manager, SEO/SEM tools, Social Listening tools, etc.) to assess platform performance and optimize efforts for maximum return

  • Perform periodic performance reporting through analytics and KPIs

  • May also perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

  • years4-year degree required with an emphasis on Business, Marketing

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in social media planning and buying

  • Self-starter with a strong desire to learn

  • Action-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to review KPIs and develop insights

  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally and communicate to internal and external teams

  • Produce high-quality work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a strong sense of urgency

  • Curiosity for the ever-changing media landscape and a passion for understanding and staying ahead of the trends

  • Proficient in Facebook Ads Manager, Google Content Calendars, Social Listening tools, Google Adwords, SEO/SEM and with website analytics tools like Google Analytics

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • CPG background preferred

  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Social Media Ad Campaigns

  • Experience with Organic Social Strategy

Working Relationships & Environment

  • Reports to Global Media Manager, Auto, reporting through Global Marketing

  • Key relationships internally will include Category Leaders, Area Category Leaders and Digital Economy

Work Environment

  • Travel Requirements (up to 25%); will depend on location

  • Remotely Located, preferred to be in Midwest or East Coast
