Position Summary

The Brand Manager, Global Auto Care Visibility is responsible for leading and creating global visibility/Shopper Based Solutions (SBS) strategy, including the delivery of global direction, generation of shopper insights, development of guidelines including visibility innovation, merchandising assets, tools and processes to optimize retail presence and enable profitable growth at retail for our brands. The position requires a high degree of collaboration with cross-functional teams including Global Auto Care, Business Analytics & Insights, Area Marketing and Commercial teams, and external agency partners to ensure effective development and seamless execution along Path to Purchase.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of global channel, retailer, category and shopper trends. Use insights to recommend and deliver a 3-year global visibility cycle plan that provides visibility innovation and enables EHI to win.

  • Develop SBS strategy direction including supporting guidelines and tools to establish EHI visibility capabilities in existing and new channels

  • Right Location – Collaborate with Global Insight Manager and International / Americas Category leads to create visibility location strategy and direction applicable to modern and traditional trade channels globally. Provide detailed insights, arguments and tools to enable markets to secure key locations.

  • Right Product – Evolve EHI Category Orchestration strategy and implementation to advantage EHI capitalizing on brand and portfolio strength, category dynamics or other macro trend changes.

  • Right Message – Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of retail centric messaging. Use insights to create messaging guidelines and direction that facilitate and support orchestrated shopper behavior delivering category value and advantaging EHI. Develop retail assets to support global brand and/or product initiatives. Ensure global visual consistency to present and maintain a coherent brand presence.

  • Global Merchandising program – Develop/adapt and maintain an effective and cost-efficient global merchandising program. Accountable for the creation of a catalogue of units which meet local market needs enable EHI markets to win at retail. Align with Procurement, Supply Chain and Area Visibility teams to ensure that tools drive scale, maximize cost efficiencies globally and create processes that enable global adaptation.

  • Manage agencies and suppliers to agreed scopes or work and budgets.

  • Responsible for engaging with Global Category Leaders and Area Visibility Managers to share best practices shape the cycle plan and associated strategies, guidelines and tools that meet market needs.

  • Work with Americas and International Visibility Managers to define metrics, agree targets, monitor performance and report results.

  • Identifies global visibility research needs, in conjunction with global segment leaders and insights team. Develops a detailed understanding of research results and ensures insights are translated into implications. Deploy visibility related insights and implications to global organization.

  • May also perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's (4-year undergraduate) degree: Marketing / Business Administration preferred

  • English proficiency required: additional languages beneficial

  • Local Market Experience and understanding of visibility principles

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Min. 5-6 years business experience

  • Ability to influence indirectly in order to achieve results

  • Strong business acumen required (specifically financial understanding and translating data to insight/action)

  • Strong drive and initiative to drive things through the organization to achieve results

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Marketing experience preferable CPG experience MBA

Working Relationships & Environment

  • Reports to Director, Global Marketing.

  • Critical working relationships internally include Global Auto Care team, Business Analytics & Insights, Americas and International Marketing, Trade Marketing and Category Management teams, and External engagement with agency partners as required.

  • Travel requirements: 10-20%.
