Position Summary

This position is in Procurement, within the Procurement Center of Excellence team. Position will interface with end-users and other procurement colleagues with regard to Ariba, SAP/SRM and other interfacing applications.

  • Support the team that procures, manufactures and distributes battery and lighting products world-wide

  • Independently develop system, processes and policy recommendations

  • Manage process improvement projects, monitor current processes to ensure adherence, train and support users in SAP, SAP interfacing applications and other system applications

Interface with colleagues globally with system and process questions in North America, Asia, Europe and Latin America

Accountabilities

  • Functional and technical subject matter expert for business partners in need of system related support and/or enhancement

  • Point of contact to help identify, define, and clarify the scope/issues of complex business or system requirements

  • Gather metrics/reporting for process efficiency, SOX & Internal Audit systems compliance, management KPIs, process scorecards, etc.

  • Proven systems, analytical and communication skills

Specific Accountabilities

  • Provide end user support for the Ariba and SAP SRM module. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of technical and functional system issues.

  • Offer business analysis and process redesign expertise in the Ariba, SAP, SRM Module of SAP and other applications including functional descriptions and business cases, training documentation and procedures to implement the processes.

  • Coordinates and leads weekly calls designed to proactively (and sometimes reactively) discuss Procurement systems, tools, training and initiatives with participants from cross towers.

  • Provide analysis and reporting support for Procurement related strategic initiatives, such as Commodity Risk Management (CRM), Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) and Supply Chain Finance, etc.

  • Monitor the use of business processes and recommend improvements in execution to the functional groups, leveraging Lean/Six sigma

  • Develop and deliver training to the organization regarding Ariba, SAP, SRM processes and capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 4+ years hands on end user SAP experience

  • Minimum 3+ years SAP query creation experience

  • Minimum 3+ years Project management experience

  • Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 4 years of experience with increased responsibility, which required expertise in the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) functional area served by the ERP (SAP) system

  • 3 years of experience managing moderately complex projects; including experience interpreting and analyzing system requirements and developing complex solutions

  • Reports to the Sr. Manager, Procurement Center of Excellence.

Work Environment

  • Willing to travel domestically & globally (as needed) – less than 20% in total
