The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain is a highly visible role, responsible for supporting the Sr. Manager Supply Chain Planning in the analysis of supply chain operations across the Global Auto Care portfolio and liaising with Commercial, Customer Supply Chain, Operations, IT and Finance business partners. The Senior Analyst will support the development, implementation, and sustainment of analytics, modeling, reporting and process needs across the business. Collaboration across Commercial, Customer Supply Chain, Operations, IT and Finance, is critical to success in this role. This position will support the Sr. Manager Supply Chain Planning and a team charged with driving change across the Global Auto Care organization. This role requires the ability to challenge status quo and build new processes, practices, metrics and reporting for the business.
Analysis for Monthly Meetings: Support preparation for key monthly meetings with cross-functional leaders on status of the sales forecast, inventory position, operational plan, issue resolution, etc.
Performance Improvements: Support step-change performance improvements through analysis, performance measurement and implementation support
Develop and Sustain the Process: Support the development of processes for performance excellence with dashboards, reporting and metrics including
Optimization Initiatives: Support initiatives such as NPD Launch Analysis, SKU Rationalization, Obsolete Inventory Management, and Reporting
Knowledge Development: Develop comprehensive knowledge of company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business to help achieve the organization's operational and financial goals
Responsible for data analytics and report generation for the monthly planning cycle
Monitor and report assumptions, risks, and opportunities to meeting business targets; escalate to management as appropriate
Document meeting minutes, action items and follow up required
Understand end-customer demand requirements. Analyze manufacturing strategy and capabilities to support
Coordinate planning inputs such as demand, supply, cycle times, and NPI/NPD launch timelines to ensure accurate inputs of customer plans
Assist in developing and implementing KPI’s for global supply chain initiatives
Document current processes and practices
Understand best practices; Review and improve processes to ensure they incorporate best practices and meet business needs
Develop business requirements for future analytics automation opportunities
Establish metrics to help monitor the effectiveness of the processes
Assist in harmonizing processes, systems, and metrics (Scorecards and Dashboards) globally to drive supply chain and cross-functional improvements
Support the annual strategic planning process
Lead or participate on regional/global Supply Chain projects in accordance with supply chain and corporate strategy
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, majoring in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain or other business-related field
3-5 years’ experience in Planning, Finance, Optimization, Continuous Improvement, or other analytical roles
Ability to deliver concise, summarized assessments that drive effective business decisions
Excellent proficiency in Excel including Power Query and Power Pivot; experience in modeling with large, disparate datasets and visualization techniques
Solid understanding of relational databases
Strong critical thinking & problem-solving skills
Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, related internal functions, external partners, and on project teams.
Ability and high comfort level with presenting across all levels of an organization
ERP experience required (SAP preferred)
Ability to utilize Microsoft office platform to analyze situations and identify risks and mitigation plans
Must demonstrate an understanding of the supply chain from: plan, source, make, deliver
Must have the ability to communicate with internal and external partners clearly and concisely
Self-starter and team player with strong initiative and drive
Preferred Skills and Experience
2+ years of experience in supply chain role in CPG industry
Visualization software experience (MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI)
SQL, VBA and/or other programming language skills a bonus
Model building expertise to answer “what if” scenarios
