Position Summary

This individual is responsible for identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives related to the procure-to-pay process and related systems, and is a key resource within the Global Procurement COE. On a day-to-day basis, key responsibilities include applying analytical skills and root cause analysis to identify and resolve user issues, monitoring current processes for adherence to policy, and driving efficiency through programs such as touchless invoicing. The Senior Analyst plays a significant role during acquisitions and system integrations serving as the business subject matter expert (SME) and providing training to colleagues globally.

Accountabilities

  • Lead cross-functional team consisting of IT, Procurement, and Accounts Payable to proactively drive improvements in procurement systems, tools and initiatives

  • Offer business analysis and process redesign expertise in SAP, including development of business cases, functional requirements, training documentation and standard procedures

  • Develop, track and communicate metrics around process efficiencies and other key performance indicators

  • Provide training for business users during M&A and SAP implementations

  • Implement process improvements and train users on the Ariba Strategic Sourcing suite

  • Single point of contact for IT to identify, define and clarify requirements for system improvements

  • Role requires proven systems, analytical and communication skills

  • Always operate with a continuous improvement / lean mindset

  • Interface with colleagues globally, including Europe, Asia and Latin America

Required Skills and Experience

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 3+ years hands-on end user SAP experience, including SAP ad-hoc reporting

  • Proficient in procure-to-pay processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Experienced in documenting processes, procedures and workflows

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Open and willing to adapt to rapid change in deliverables, tasks and focus areas

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience in SAP-SRM

  • Proficient with SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing suite, including e-sourcing and auctions, contract management, and supplier lifecycle and performance modules

  • Minimum 3+ years of managing moderately complex projects, including interpretation and analysis of system requirements and developing complex solutions

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Working Relationships & Environment

Working Relationships

  • Reports directly to the Senior Manager, Business Process Management, within the Procurement function

  • Frequent interactions with IT, Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance departments

Work Environment

  • Willing to travel domestically & globally (as needed) – less than 10% in total
