Position Summary

The Sr. IT Analyst, SAP PP/MM will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, enhancing and developing the SAP Production Planning (PP) global template, Logistics Execution and other applications supporting Manufacturing business processes. The Sr. IT Analyst, SAP PP/MM position contributes to the overall business strategy by helping to assess, plan, develop, enhance, implement and support value-added Manufacturing applications for global Supply Chain and Logistics Execution.

Accountabilities

Application Support & Administration

• Manage escalations for support of SAP PP and other Supply Chain applications

• Enable Managed Service Provider to be successful in managing application support

• Support day to day business operations by researching and resolving application issues within agreed SLA KPI targets; assist in problem analysis, resolution and reporting

• Stay abreast of industry trends, recommend areas of improvement, and solve complex technical issues within area


  • Application Development & Enhancements*

• Configure and maintain new and existing functionality in SAP PP and support future system integrations

• Complete assigned project deliverable's (ex. Business Process Procedures, Configuration Scripts, Functional Specifications)

• Provide input on implementation plan to support business needs and priorities within functional area

• Validate SAP fit to business requirements. Identify workarounds and recommend business process changes, if necessary.

• Gather user and functional requirements to prepare program specifications and diagrams

• Document design solutions to meet business requirements; Identify master data requirements and design master data files

• Configure data validation, unit test, system test, integration and regression test and coordinate with Global IT to coordinate and execute data validation and testing with local and regional business users

• Review training content to ensure accuracy of application procedural information and help coordinate with Global IT on training activities with regional and local business users

• Review designs of implementation partners ensuring sustainability and standardization


Business Engagement & Communication

• Lead meetings with business process owners, serving as a subject matter expert within area

• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand and prioritize business requirements


IT Compliance & Audit

• Help drive adherence to global IT policies and standards within functional area

• Contribute to IT audits, as needed

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field (such as Computer Programming or MIS) or equivalent experience

• Seven years or more of SAP ECC 6.0 and direct SAP PP configuration experience including Repetitive Manufacturing and Discrete Manufacturing

• Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Production Planning and Logistics Execution

• Experience with IDOCS and interfacing data into SAP from EDI and other external applications

• Experience in testing and supporting custom RICEF

• Ability to provide thought leadership and engage effectively with multiple levels of business stakeholders

• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, including presenting concisely and writing complex functional specifications that are understood by IT and non-IT audiences

• Ability to work independently

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Project management experience of small to mid-sized projects

• Working experience with Finite Capacity Scheduling or PPDS and SAP Warehouse Management or Extended Warehouse Management

• Cross functional knowledge in SAP Materials Management preferred

• Cross functional knowledge in SAP Master Data Governance beneficial

• Working experience of integration of Mergers & Acquisitions

Work Environment

• Up to 10% travel will be required during business as usual. SAP rollout projects being evaluated would affect travel percent during project timeframes
